Well, a quick search turns up this. Might be what you're looking for.

And I see Mousa is already on top of things.

I don't really go to meet-ups but I am curious of any meet-ups or "Brony Communities" around Northern or Central Virginia.

Huh. Apparently the DC area has a MLP:Fi M fan chapter. Now if only I could get over my crippling social anxiety.

Also, this will definitely make you feel sad.
Nope, sorry. Way too overdramatic.

Delayed, but it was art time before and I'm posting anyway*. Allow me to join in the art-ing. 1, 2

I'm of the belief that Derpygate is a really silly name to give it.

I know there is this meetup in Maryland. But It looks like its a yearly convention and not a regular get together.

Fixed the Link to the Current year and not 2011 version

I guess I'm lucky to have a meetup so close.

Well, The DC group would only be 6 miles away from me, but they don't have any meet-ups planned it seems.

@ Mousa: I don't have a car so a 100 mile meetup is practically impossible sad

But yeah, have any of you guys been to a meetup?

Yeah. There's a group that gets together each week to watch the episodes, though it has shrunken a lot since the first meetup.

I met the DC chapter once. And then my job kept me from meeting them again. When you work in a cinema, Saturdays are dead. It sucks getting the e-mail saying when and where they're meetign again and knowing I can't make it.

Shame, they were cool guys, I even signed a Trixie poster we sent to Studio B and Sethisto.

I think there might be a brony or two at my school, but other than that I only know one other brony.

Good night Freeman.

I think Id be afraid to go to a Brony meetup... if they are anything like the Furries I used to hang with I wouldnt be able to tolerate them long.

I think I said it before when this thing firs re-surfaced but I'll paraphrase myself: as much as I like Derpy (and most of the fandom feels some reverence for the character) I think in hindsight it was a mistake spotlighting her in "The Last Roundup". Before all this the character still had a certain freedom; she was canon enough that we could get a funny little background scene of her doing something that was not too invasive but still showed the people behind the show acknowledging us.

But after that line between canon and fanon was crossed and the resulting back-lash it seems any further development of Derpy's character from the brony perspective has been crushed and now the fandom is simply fighting (and losing) just to keep what is or is considered left of her (or what made her unique, one only needs to read the many entries of Derpy on This Wiki).

So after this perceived warping or violation of Word of Dante the "natural" order takes effect, and Derpy moved back to the background and it is highly unlikely that she will get the attention in the show that she had before all of this.

This is just part of my opinion on this whole thing. I was one of those who cheered win she spoke, but, in retrospect probably should of never happened.

Goodnight Freeman.

I live relatively close to Bronycon, but I haven't had the chance to actually go, which is unfortunate.

Yeah, I was worried my first time as well, and then I saw the guys in brony T-shirts, Zelda messenger bags, and twilight sparkle ears/horn and I knew I'd be right at home.
