whelp time t head off to work
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.

Haha, what?!
Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.
Oh, another issue with a
Daring Do game. The enemies.. You can't really just start slaying things in a pony game, now can you? I don't think even stomping them Mario style would be exactly appropriate. And what the heck would she fight anyways? Jungle animals? And then inside dungeons? What could you have besides ancient traps really? All you can do with traps is make time trial levels like on
Super Meat Boy (with less death and blood though). Unless it's a puzzle platformer, of course.
I think I'll start planning out an
Adventure Game instead.

What's the worst that could happen anyways?
Most of the enemies in Spelunky would still work. The only ones you have to get rid of are humanoid ones like Cavemen, Shopkeepers, Cultists, and Mummmies. (Yetis can stay since they're "canon").
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".

Watched a Spelunky trailer aaaand.. it could work. Just change humans with "Ground Ponies" or mole people. Aaand.. going for a "wings tied behind my back" thing could work. Though there wouldn't be much of a story to tell with it if any.

Daring Do done Pixel style? I'd play it :D
I saw some pretty neat spritehacks of Sonic 3 that replaced Tails with your choice of Dashie or Fluttershy, and it was really neat.

You can't really make much of a game prior to entering the dungeons. On Cave Story you wake up in a cave with no memory. With Daring you can't do that. You have to start the story from the middle of the adventure rather than from the beginning.

But the hurt wing has already been used. It'd have to become a running gag in the stories to work. So really, either have flight or think up a different reason.
