If he's representative of Sloth, why would he be a threat?

he could make everyone AROUND him slothful too.
Wait, I think Basil could represent Sloth
@Blue Yeah, I just don't llike the idea of Moriarty being conned

But then they wouldn't be much of villains. Villain motivators always fall under madness or ambition. Sloth is a lack of ambition.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
Let's be honest here; Celestia versus Nightmare Moon was never a battle of ideologies, and if it was, it was never freedom versus order. If it was, who was what? The immortal absolute monarch who, though benevolent and kind, is
absolute in every sense of the word? Or the immortal dictator with the intention of forcing every living thing on the planet to worship her until they all died of starvation?
Can you think inside the chimney?
@Ba d &Ginger: Hm. that's acceptable.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was strange to couch their conflict in those terms.

I'm confused about something. Is Basil the adult dragon from "Dragonshy?"

Sloth pony? Like he's sort of in a catatonic state?
Oooh, and his mooks drag him around in a wheelbarrow...
They taught there's no curls too tight, no mind too bright, no skin too dark

Does the one from "Owl's Well That Ends Well" have a name too? or...

@ Crow: Razorfang or Reginald typically.
Tealove is best pony.

Applelight: But then they aren't encouraging anyone to be slothful.

@Crowlover: The one from "Owl's Well" is called Razorfang. See
It Takes A Village for reference.
@Mage: I hate to be so blunt, but your fanon about how the Everfree Forest was Luna's personal den of chaotic growth makes no sense with what else we know about ponies, the natural order, and the sisters. Nor does it invalidate my earlier point regarding horrific wasting death, so...

@Blue I rank protagonists and villains using different criteria.
Moriarty as the main character would piss me off. and if they dumbed him down enough to fit my standards, then he's not the Moriarty I love anymore
