@ginger On one hand, Twilight asked him nicely to move, and he ignored her. On the other hand, the Mane 6 charged into his cave and attempted to steal his stuff and beat him up. I'm torn.

My guess on the episode is that Fluttershy is going to go overboard, we'll get a Flutterbitch redux, and it'll be something like "Being assertive doesn't mean being a jerk". Either that or Fluttershy is going to refuse to even attempt to being assertive because she thinks it'll make her look like a jerk.

hehe just had the cutest image of Fluttershy's first attempts at being assertive, she walks up, big loud voice, full of confidence demands what she wants, then instantly reverts back to normal Fluttershy "i-if that's, umm, you, know, ok with you I mean" cue Iron Will facehoof

Just out of curiosity, any guesses on what Iron Will looks like? I'm guessing he'll be an earth pony, probably grey-ish color scheme. Not sure about cutie mark though.

I'd kind of like it if orignally Fluttershy became assertive, then became too assertive and learned to balance it.

But see, they've already done enough jokes where Fluttershy temporarily becomes over-assertive, so I feel that "balancing it" should already be the next step for her.

Yea they couldnt make her too assertive or it would permanently alter her character. It might be a temporary shift that would eventually fade back to her original state with maybe some minor changes.

She does have a backbone in there, weve seen it before but its got a berzerk button of sorts. Maybe the button gets stuck on by something Iron Will says/does.

@JT My image of a self-help guru is a very chill hippie-type guy, usually with a goatee, which doesn't really fit with what Iron Will sounds like. Maybe some sort of drill sergeant?
