Fluttershy grows a spine, but her friends can't handle it and they call in an expert. I'm joking guys, I know Fluttershy has a backbone. I'm guessing 'Shy takes lessons in assertiveness but ultimately takes it a bit too far, maybe.

Really, I see two options, Iron Will just CANNOT get Fluttershy to be more assertive and goes nuts, or Fluttershy goes way way to assertive.

@Seraph perhaps both. Iron Will almost goes nuts because of his inability to get to Fluttershy, then he ultimately tries some drastic new technique on her out of desperation that works too well

@Seraph I'd like to see that first one. Maybe he flips out, and Fluttershy calms him down? The moral: Sometimes being assertive is just being a jerk.

What?! Being a assertive and being a jerk are definitely not the same. It's absolutely possible to assert yourself without resorting to be a jerk.

I really cannot see Twilight going for a bad boy pony; if anything she'd do it "by the book" like everything else and try to find a "Mr. Right" type of pony. The only exception would be if she tried to "reform" them or something.

@Drenius Maybe Iron sees being assertive as acting like the world revolves around you.

AWWWW!!! at Twilight and Smarty Pants going to school together! That looks like something I would have wanted to do with my Bug dolls when I was little! The Bug dolls are, well, Raid promotional dolls that I was given when I was 3 or so and I turned them into some of the very first characters I ever created. I still like the old stories I made up about them, and I even included Sim versions of them in the Sims 3, since that game allows one to make Sims with things like green skin.

It's interesting to see what my most common words are. I suspect some of that is because bullying IS probably my Berserk Button, so I have at least a few rants about it on here.

Nonono, Sky, I can understand what you're saying. My main complaint is the way you phrased the moral made it seem as if it is impossible to be assertive without being a jerk.

Sigh, I feel way too sorry for jerkish people hired to do something and failing. I can't think of an example but most of the time they end up in tears.

I'd kind of like it if orignally Fluttershy became assertive, then became too assertive and learned to balance it.

Lord knows I've nearly had some because of her.
