@Drenius I'm doing pretty good. Thanks
I'm still going with my "Memory erasure" theory for why the mane cast aren't remembered

Scoots is prolly still a Dashie fan :3
@Crowlover Rainbow Dash is always showing off and doing awesome things, so of course the school children of Ponyville would have a persistent fan club for her. The club fell apart when Mare-Do-Well stole the spotlight, so I think my point still stands.
Holy shit!

That most ponies were willing to have their memories of he mane cast erased in order to let them have a normal life and let them earn what respect they get in their respective crafts.

So, with no new ponies this week, whatever shall we do to pass the time? It's simply awful!
I've no idea. I could have sworn... Nah, it couldn't have been.
Behold true horror

I imagine that Celestia gathers all the willing participants up and uses her horn like a neuralizer

simple.
Who'd believe them?
and because I honestly believe that the majority of ponies are kind and respectful of the earnest wishes of others. I believe most would agree, and those who didn't would play along

A little bit of both?

Nah, just a silly bit of art by an artist I like, Lars Brown. From what I can gather he was just amused by the idea of duct taping two corgis together.

@Mio because it would still effect their daily lives. There'd still be untold adoration in the eyes of everyone they met. It would still effect how they were treated. Look at how the cakes treat the princess.
They may respect and agree with the wishes of the mane cast, but they wouldn't be able to help themselves. A change that big CAN'T go unnoticed.
I know they would never say that in the show, but it's my personal preffered theory
