@Ginger And one incident of her knowing something outside of her profession does not constitute her "knowing everything". You are correct that it is how she is used, not what she knows that matters, but there is no indication of her being used solely for her knowledge.

Except for the fact that she totally is.

Apart from her first appearance (in which her knowledge was still key to fixing the problem) she's only ever been seen when a cast member needs something or requires guidance

@Ginger In Cutie Pox, she simply sets up the plot by telling Apple Bloom about Heart's Desire. In Luna Eclipsed, she put on an impressive show for the children. She has only ever given guidance when Twilight took Spike to her and when she was asked about the Parasprites, and even then she didn't have the solution. She only knew what the problem was.

Seriously, 11 years. I still have the receipt for my old computer. It was purchased on February 17th, 2001. Good riddance to it, Windows ME, and dial-up.

I didn't know such vintage machines were still internet worthy, anything before XP was such a bother to work with in many ways. Also old hardware can't run a lot of new stuff, which is a huge pain.

It looks like the tech in Equestria at least reaches steam power and transistors, with magic substituting for conventional electricity.

Argh. Tell me about it. When I tried to update my browser, the last version that was compatible with Windows ME was at least eight years old. I was so tired of telling people I couldn't watch YouTube links.
