Oh, dear... I may have a problem...

I've thought about the appeal behind shipping, as seen in this ponychan thread. I generally never ship unless it's either a hetero canon pairing, or a hetero fanon pairing that makes sense. But I've recently found myself enjoying fanart of ponies nuzzling or licking each others faces affectionately, albeit it's only hetero or yuri (And I HATE same-sex pairings). What's worse are some of the pairings I'm doing as fanart, keeping in mind they're friends and nothing more...:

Spike/Mane Six Mane Six in General Spike/Flower Trio (Rose, Daisy and Lily) Spike/CMC Lyra/Bon Bon Spike/Twist Big Macintosh/Flower Trio Fluttershy/Flower Trio Applejack/Caramel Caramel/Rarity Blues/Rarity Twilight Sparkle/Trixie (Friendly Enemies, but point stands.) Rainbow Dash/Soarin' Spitfire/Soarin' Dr. Hooves/Derpy Dr. Hooves/Flower Trio

Now there hasen't been a lot of mention of the supporting cast. Now in this vain I would say that most typically I'm very Partial to the Venerable Derpy, yet I am also keen to want Zecora around with me (yes despite her Magical Negro status, I feel she has the potential if to be infinitely more interesting if the writers and behind the scenes people would just "let my Zebraaaa growwwww! ).

I do actually dislike her Magic Negro qualities.

It's like she knows everything. (except how to deal with Parasprites apparently)

What exactly has Zecora show extensive knowledge in outside of botany and potion making?

@Mousa: The issue is that I barely ship, if at all... I don't ship unless it's canon or fanon, and they've all been heterosexual. I NEVER do slash, it's not normal, and I can't see shipping in anything other than a romantic context, which is why I avoid it whenever possible. Examples of ships I support from other shows:

Phineas/Isabella and Candace/Jeremy Tommy/Mushi and 1/Lizzie (R.I.P.) (The former being one of the few FanPreferredCouples I support. Plucky/Shirley and Plucky/Fifi (The latter a Crack Pairing) Milo and Lizbeth

Tenchi and Ayeka or Sasami

People say not all shipping is sexual, but I find it hard to believe it's anything other than that and then there's the shipping wars...

Not until the YouTube clip you linked to. Boy, it's great to be able to watch videos on my new computer.

BTW, one of the first things I did was to download the full-size (3 MB) colored Megasweet Human! mane six hot tub pic. On my old, dying computer with dial-up, it took almost 25 minutes (I wish I was kidding about this.) On a new computer with a high-speed connection, it downloaded instantly.

Let my Zebra Grow..... Really? Really? I haven't heard that pun since the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air did it with little Carlton.

God I'm old.

But yeah, Zecora is pretty cool, I wonder when she'll make another surprise appearance.

I'd love to see of more Cheerilee as well. Pity most of her most recent episode was under the influence of the potion. I'd like to see more of the mayor as well. Find out how she manages to keep the town from imploding on a daily basis.

kinda hard not do same sex pairings when like 90% of the mane characters are the same gender.

It's not actually that depressing, in fact it's kind of uplifting.
