@yeller: No, but Ocarina was rumored to have dating game elements, and having endings based on your FRIENDSHIP would be natural for such a thing. After all, friendship can be used for plausible deniability while cramming in the shiptease to the max

Hey, a game where you just create your own pony character and go explore Equestria, with a main quest and side quests, would be awesome.

You befriend ponies along the way, and you don't even have to be a 'good' pony. You could be more dubious like Flim and Flam or Trixie if you wanted to...and befriend equally bad ponies!

Mmmmmmaybe. It would be fun to give Earth Ponies a counterbalance so they don't feel underpowered next to Pegasi and Unicorns. Epic Stamina for one thing, but it'd be fun to have wildcard Earth Ponies with strange and wonderful powers that are a blast to exploit rather than all the samey Pegasi and Unicorns who all handle the same because magic and flight combat mostly controls the same.

How would a Mass Effect-styled Pony game be like?

...Man I decide to try to be all Devil's Advocate and I get ninja'd by a Zelda conversation.

Funniest thing about ponifying Zelda characters is that it makes Link/Epona shipping likable.

While we're at it Urban Dictionary's #1 definition is simply "A simple, undefined reply when an ignorant comment or action is made." Which isn't much, but I'd also note that only one definition on the page references retardation, and even that's in the context of "a retarded looking face with the eyes pointing in different directions" rather than referencing actual mental disability. Granted, UD isn't exactly an awesome source, but it shows that "an ableist slur" is far from the most common definition.

Anyway, I'm kinda curious about how Pony!Link would wield the Master Sword.

Not really, but I wouldn't want players to think that Flight and Magic rule all. Earth Ponies have some serious native advantages like crazy base stats (especially Epic Stamina and their absurd resists!), and they get some of the most fun-to-use abilities and more variety than all the Pegasi and Unicorns.

After all, a Pegasi can't immobilize their opponent by stuffing a seed into their mouths and then activating Green Thumb to trap them inside a rapidly-growing plant. And only the strongest lungs of the Earth Ponies can tap the terrible force of the Royal Canterlot Voice. Also, Earth Ponies are best ninja.
