@Bad Hmmm, she could've flown through the barrel dodge (she's shown that she has much more speed and precision while flying than while running)

And in that case, why did RD go through 99 push ups without using her wings, then suddely started using them? Couldn't she have just used them from the start?

I really liked the Pinkie and Spike announcer team up. It was nice seeing Pinkie being aware enough to recognize that Spike wanted to announce and asking him to join. Way better than her obliviously denying someone cider.

Anyway, big surprise, Twilight beats them both. The moral of the story is to never really care about things if you want to get ahead.

Final verdict? Neither can really claim the moral high ground, but RD was more of a jerk.

I'd presume she didn't fly in the first event for one of two reasons. Either given the short distance to run she thought it would take longer to take off and land than simply run, or since she was clearly very nervous in the first event it simply didn't occur to her.

For the push-ups. I'm not sure, possibly she wanted a dramatic finish but I understand that explanation is tenuous at best.

while flying (bare in mind it took her 18 seconds to run the course)

also: SHE'S RD!! The girl who flies at EVERY given opportunity. The girl who constantly THINKS about flying. The girl who's LIFE IS DEDICATED TO FLYING!!

No way, for one second am I buying that she merely FORGOT to fly, especially if doing so would let her win effortlessly

The tests were about athleticism. It's therefore unfair to cripple one of the contestants by not allowing her use of her full body. AJ was wrong, RD was still a jerk.

Yeah, I finished a little bit ago and am currently watching Rarity sing about dress making. RD is more of a jerk, but I don't think either of them can be considered to have the moral high ground. You set handicaps before a competition even if you shouldn't have to formalize it and you don't cheat.

Anyway, RD started the cheating, but AJ continued it.

A: She's never moved at that speed again even when it would be advantageous to her. B: Her hooves leave the ground once during that clip and that's when she's not even moving horizontally. So there is no indication that she was flying at that speed.

Have you never not done something that was extremely obvious and beneficial to you in hindsight but you didn't at the time because of nerves?

But some of those tests were about a specific type of athleticism. Push ups are about arm strength, wings shouldn't factor into it at all.

@Bluespade Different events test different muscles. There are different types of athleticism. The type of athleticism RD's wings grant her cannot be compared to AJ's inany way, since she's using muscles AJ doesn't have.

For example:

Hoof Wrestling: compares the strength of the front legs and hoof wrestling technique.

Long Jumping: compares leg strength and ones ability to propel yourself using only your legs.

@Bad I ain't byin' that, Bad. And I ain't even CONTEMPLATING the idea that she was running in that scene. because that would be fucking BULLLLLLLSHHIIIIIT!!!!
