The creator is no longer involved, it arguable she stepaed off after the pilot but she still had some involvement, now she is no longer involved at all, by defination its a Franchise without the breat of it's creator to give it life.

I think that's overstating it a little. It's not like she created the entire thing herself; she heavily influenced a new series based on a pre-existing franchise. She didn't make it from whole cloth, and she's hardly the only person who influenced the development of the show.

And she's hardly "no longer involved". Just not as heavily involved.

Most of the episodes were written by different people anyway. I'm sure the series will be doing fine.

Though, I wonder who's going to be the second season's new producer.

To be honest I am terrified that MLP won't be any good without Lauren Faust, cuz if it isn't, then that means this is it, no more Pinkie, no more fluttersy, no more Rainbow or Twilight or Rarity. Just 26 episodes of gold, i don't think my soul can take another dissapointment

You guys are overreacting. Just because the show's under new management doesn't mean it's Ruined FOREVER.

Yeah, a change in show runner isn't enough to declare it a franchise zombie. And even if Faust's departure does lead to a decline in quality, which I'm not convinced it will, it probably wouldn't happen until the third season. Too much of season two is done already for it to get messed up too badly.

As far as I know, Amy Keating Rogers is still writing for FiM.

For what its worth, Faust only actually wrote three episodes of season one.

She wrote the pilot and she co-wrote Ticket Master.

Wasn, t everypony get over of fact that Lauren is not in charge of show (but still involved)? That situation is something much diffrent from Franchise Zombie, there is not even exuce to call it that:

Laconic: Franchise Zombie The show continues on well past what the creator intended.

And stop being so nihilistic about, season 2 have same staff, and all episodes are allready writen (even 2 are made during s1 creation). Lauren by herself confirm that show is made by same peaople.

Yeah, I'm not really worried about the 2nd season too much; from what I've heard Faust believes that she's left the series in good hands. I mean, it might not be as good as the first, but I seriously doubt that the series is going to suddenly turn to crap because she's not involved as heavily as she was.

And I don't think it nearly counts as a Franchise Zombie anyway; it's not like they're creating a bunch of new material independently of the original creator solely to make money (at least in regard to FIM, MLP as a whole is more debatable). I'm pretty sure that there was talk of a second season before the first one even ended.

Oh by now all of you must have heard Lauren's comment how i she was still in charge the big bad og season 2 with be Krastos the Glue Maker. And of course some people would say "ponies wouln't know what the deal is since glue was never made from ponies"

but we don't know that!

I propose a idea, fitting with the Fi M theme that with a litteral world of ponies colelcting hoof clipping must be pretty easy, also i imagine some sort of organ doner program. glue, leather, and the like come from ponies who signed the "you have use my [] hooves, [] pelt, [] mane, []lungs, []etc for Pony Science and industry"

I don't know how I managed to forget about this until now.
