[up][up]I'm sorry, but that would be just...I mean, I can accept using the stuff for science, right, but...making leather and stuff? Would you want to sit on a couch made out of someone's skin?

Even products made using people parts seems creepy to me, so I don't really think anypony would go around signing up to be turned into glue when they die.

Maybe it's like their equivalent of an organ donor card or something.

Well i haven't see one grave in Ponyville so maybe it's just their culture to use every part of the pony when they die.

Now you know why Pinkie's family had a rock farm. It's a Euphemism for GRAVEYARD.

I think almost every graveyard in Equestria is small and out of the way, the kind of place you don't see every day unless you work there or are living the pony equivalent of a Greek tragedy.

That said, I don't think they'd use corpses for anything other than burying them and the like. Just doesn't seem to feel right, you know?

Maybe they bury everyone in the Everfree Forest.

wild mass guess Equestria is some form of heaven. Ponies' lives may be put in danger once in a while, just to shake things up, but nobody really dies. wild mass guess

So everyone is already dead?

Well why is Granny Smith so old then? That doesn't seem very fair. Unless the lord of this heaven has deemed that eternity is either A) too boring for the ponies, B) break the illusion of danger, and thus heaven as a whole, or C) leads to a few arrogant ponies and just sets them to grow, die, and reincarnate regularly.

Maybe she likes being an old granny. Look, she has three grandkids that love her so very much. Do you want to take that away from her? Do you?

I dunno i kinda like my idea, it just seems to fit, they personally manage the seasons, weather, and their town is run by teenagers, the idea that even death won't stop you being useful seems fitting.

The mayor isn't a teenager.

but the Mayor doesn't run every buisness, and teenagers make up most of the business owners

The only teenager we see running a business is Rarity, the rest of the mane cast is working for somepony else, and even then the ages are intentionally vague. We've got Mr. and Mrs. Cake, Mr. Breezy, and Mr. Quills and Sofas running their own shops, and they're presumably older.

Do we even know that the main six are teenagers?

I tend to assume they're adults, but it's weird thinking of Twilight as an adult, for some reason.

@Kyler: Does she also like having a busted hip?

They don't necessarily have to be close to the same age - we know Fluttershy is older than Pinkie, so there's no reason not to assume the other fluctuate. For that matter, Fluttershy does live on her own, so we can probably assume she's at least 18 or 19. We probably can for the rest, since the only two ponies that don't seem to live on their own are Pinkie and Applejack. Though Rarity is a bit of an odd case, she seems to be living on her own, but she's in the same building she was in as a filly. What's up with that?

For some reason I always thought of Twilight as a college student, so I imagine her as a very young adult.

^^Either Rarity gave birth to and raised herself or her parents died.

I don't know.

I always assumed Rarity inherited the building, but that makes me wonder what happened to her parents.

I never really put any thought into it before.

Here's Faust's take on it. The official word seems to be that they're young adults, but that they don't directly correlate to human ages because they're, you know, not humans.

Perhaps Rarity didn't actually live there as a filly, but she was working as an apprentice to an older fashion designer, and later inherited the boutique, where she now lives.

I don't know, sometimes I like to come up with explanations for this kind of thing in my head like that.

Speaking of ponies, i can easily justify the Mane 6, beingthe Elements of harmony, going out to find the cause of a corruption turning Celestia Fearing Ponies into monsters but can you see any other ponies doing that?
