I learnt of it on Darths & Droids some years back, then I lurked around for a few months. After I actually joing, I didn't really do much but make the occasional post. Actually, I've probably made more posts on this topic then anywhere else on the site!

I don't have that many memories of my early days of being a brony, oddly enough. Girlfriend got me into watching it when I noticed that it was starting to spread without knowing what it was.

Oh! I found this place through Darths & Droids too! I can remember the exact strip that led me here and the text below talking about Evil Chancellors and Good Hair, Evil Hair. To date my proudest achievements are starting the Robo Vampire page and making the picture and caption for Conveniently Empty Building.

I was on Potter Sues, and I asked what the big deal was with the draco trilogy, they linked me to the Draco in Leather Pants trope, as well as a few other links.

My first encounter was when someone on the Agony Booth put a link to Gilligan Cut in their recap. Then a friend recommended I check a bit more of it out and the rest is history, maths, and just a touch of eschatology.

My first encouter was in 2008 when somebody linked the trope I Am Your Father on the Sonic Stadium Message Board. My entire ISP is now banned from there for some reason.

Funny thing about that forum is I saw a post on there from my ex-boyfriend saying that he wants this entire site taken down because he personally doesn't like it/doesn't get it.

Me? I found this site back in 2009 when someone on MFGG linked to it when we were discussing the things Pokemon got past the censors. Funny thing, that was the same year I stopped going to MFGG, too. I guess my brain is only capable of only storing so many commonly visited sites in my memory banks or something.

I know, right? This is his exact quote. "Oh while they're at it, maybe they should attack TV Tropes too. Ugh, another one of those sites people are addicted and obsessed with. So yeah, I say they should go on with Operation Facebook. It's really not a bad idea at all, even though what they're doing is wrong and illegal. "

A few months ago Anonymous wanted to take down Facebook via hacking.

I think I found the wiki because it got linked during a Sailor Moon roleplay I was in and we were discussing what tropes were showing up in our story. I've started a few trope pages, too, namely Fat and Skinny, Smart People Speak The Queens English and Thrifty Scot (the latter two are some of the first stereotypes I ever noticed in cartoons when I was little). Interestingly enough, while the "smart people speak like upperclass English people" trope showed up in the G3 series with Spike (somewhat), I don't remember it being in the G1 series nor in this current one (the Canterlot ponies weren't necessarily portrayed as being more intelligent, they more used that accent to show them being snobby and/or wealthy).

You're making me feel bad. In all my time here, I've only ever managed to create one trope. Though I did launch another one only to discover that it was a duplicate of an existing trope. Apparently, even my redirect is gone now.

Hey, I've never launched anything while I've been here. Though I did have an idea for one. Might throw it up on YKTTW soon.

I have never launched a troop...I have a few YKTT Ws going, but most of them are skulled right about now. T.T

I haven't launched anything either. But I'm ok with that. I have fun merely browsing through all these tropes.

I'm pretty much just here for this thread, so I don't take part in the day to day troping. And I'm fine with that. My existence in just about any forum is usually confined to one or two threads that interest me.

I got the movement going for Sakigake Otokojuku to have a proper trope page. I also did... about a little over 2/3 of the intro for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. : )
