Except in Applebuck Season. Because powerful magic may be difficult, but walking? Screw that.
Ah, I love Granny Smith; she doesn't so much speak as mumble with intent.
"You're my favourite Princess ever!"
Thanks to those "Ew, Gay!" pictures of Lyra and another one where she was in a group hug while mumbling "Faggot" I can't help but imagine her as a perpetually grumpy unicorn whose first reaction to anything is grumbling and insults whether she likes it or not.
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...
so back on the subject of Dark Twilight, if we go with "no original sonic rain boom" then all the other ponies would also be pretty ddepressed, especially Pinky Pie and if we go with my theory she has unicorn blood to explain her antics then she sould become a rather depressing rock farmer who could do all the same things.

Daww...
Nothing is cooler than science and ponies
Makes sense.
I mean, if everyone could teleport, the second half of the pilot would be over in ten minutes.

Well, there can be limitations, like I think unicorns in the first series couldn't pass through solid objects. But then I guess viewers will think of loopholes that the characters don't and it'll make them look stupid, so I'm thinking the show is going to forget there ever was any teleporting.
it wouldn't make much sense from a logistical standpoint, either. I mean, your most common power is the ability to insrtantly dissapear and reappear in another place? The amount of energy that wpould take would be phenomenal. Telekenisis makes much more sense as a baseline power, since every kind of magic could just be called a more complicated form of that.
In EVERY mode of fiction I've encountered, Teleportation and Faster-than-Light travel are treated as benchmarks for technology or ability.
In this case, it's a bit moronic to expect every pony to be able to disintegrate themselves, the piece themselves back together somewhere else. I mean hell, reading into the physics behind it, telekinesis is MUCH more plausible as a baseline power.

I don't even have TV

I'm doing my part! I watch ponies on the hub religiously!
I'll begin to do that
Nothing is cooler than science and ponies
I have other reasons to watch The Hub
They have Batman Beyond.
