Except in Applebuck Season. Because powerful magic may be difficult, but walking? Screw that.

Ah, I love Granny Smith; she doesn't so much speak as mumble with intent.

Thanks to those "Ew, Gay!" pictures of Lyra and another one where she was in a group hug while mumbling "Faggot" I can't help but imagine her as a perpetually grumpy unicorn whose first reaction to anything is grumbling and insults whether she likes it or not.
Because "for the lulz" is a perfectly good reason to do something.

I always imagine her being a happy-go-lucky pony since most of her FunnyBackgroundEvents have her jumping up and down excited.

[up]So had I, but I gotta admit the image of her as a big grump is kinda funny. Fortuneately, we can have the best of both worlds!

so back on the subject of Dark Twilight, if we go with "no original sonic rain boom" then all the other ponies would also be pretty ddepressed, especially Pinky Pie and if we go with my theory she has unicorn blood to explain her antics then she sould become a rather depressing rock farmer who could do all the same things.

And her teleporting generally appears to be reflexive.
Oh yeah, that's something that strikes me as weird after watching Generation 1, that vanishing/teleportation is no longer the most common unicorn power. I guess Tambelon wouldn't trap as many unicorns that way this time around...

Makes sense.

I mean, if everyone could teleport, the second half of the pilot would be over in ten minutes.

Well, there can be limitations, like I think unicorns in the first series couldn't pass through solid objects. But then I guess viewers will think of loopholes that the characters don't and it'll make them look stupid, so I'm thinking the show is going to forget there ever was any teleporting.

I mentioned reorganizing the background ponies section a while back, and well I went ahead and did that. Does that look better to everyone?

it wouldn't make much sense from a logistical standpoint, either. I mean, your most common power is the ability to insrtantly dissapear and reappear in another place? The amount of energy that wpould take would be phenomenal. Telekenisis makes much more sense as a baseline power, since every kind of magic could just be called a more complicated form of that.

In EVERY mode of fiction I've encountered, Teleportation and Faster-than-Light travel are treated as benchmarks for technology or ability.

In this case, it's a bit moronic to expect every pony to be able to disintegrate themselves, the piece themselves back together somewhere else. I mean hell, reading into the physics behind it, telekinesis is MUCH more plausible as a baseline power.

Fallen Legend, I feel your pain.

Our Discovery Kids would be MUCH improved if they had MLP:FIM....Now that I remember it USED to air the older MLP shows back when it was good.

Neko: Go to their website then. That way they get revenue.

That's the Spirit Moe!

They NEED the viewers, they have 26.000 people watching currently and that's just sad.

Please do what you can to help The Hub if you live in USA! Demand it be included in your cable provider!

I've been recording episodes off The Hub.

I'm guessing that doesn't count as "helping".
