[up] More or less mirror universe. The theme was to draw a pony's evil twin or some similar alternate interpretation. I decided to take that and pit evil Twilight against the Twilight we all know and love. Basic idea that got me drawing is evil Twilight never discovered the power of friendship and instead became a power hungry battle mage. Beyond that, I'm winging it, but perhaps she could be the apprentice of Nightmare Moon since Nightmare Moon wouldn't have ever been defeated in that continuity.

the only way i see her being apretice of Nightmare Moon is...well I don't. If we are going by her snubbing her friends to try and stop the prophacy then either NM kills her or...body jacks her

Yea, there's probably some plot holes in that. Like I said, I was winging it beyond the idea that I wanted to make an evil Twilight whom never learned about friendship.

How about this. In evil Twilight verse the sonic rainboom never happened, so she never became Celestia's student. But she kept studying magic on her own, and without Celestia's guiding ended up researching darker magics and eventually started communicating with Nightmare Moon.

[up]Derpy's mom abandoned her in the woods. Presumably she intended for Derpy to die out there, but someone must have found her since she grew up into the mailmare we all know and love.

Re: Evil!Twilight: couldnt she be from a universe where Princess Celestia is a baddie, or at least the insensitive Trollestia of fanart? Being her most favoritest student, Evil!Twilight would of course take after her... and she could have been sent to learn about, uhm, what's the opposite of Friendship? Enmity? (not really insiduous enough...)

I THINK what they're trying to say is that The Hub is still trying to figure out their demographic, so they're trying new things with their shows.

What i CAN gleam from that, is that they've lowered the cost of their copyright licensing fees, which mean it'll be easier for other channels to carry The Hub's shows.

Good news for us.

I think the 'writing down' portion referred to the drop in prices.

Thats great , seems that us bronies are starting to influence that... Otherwise they would only target kids as usual well at least I hope so.

Well...

(knocks on wooden chair)

What if it's the start of The Hub going down the toilet. What if they're lowing their licensing fees because they need the money because they're slowly going bankrupt

Well, not knowing what their demographic is probably means the company doesn't have a clear mission/vision, which would be bad for any business. It's like living life without a well-defined goal, you just putter around without really getting anywhere.

So figuring out what kind of audience they want to attract is a step in the right direction for them.
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

Well I certainly hope they do! They obviously market most of their shows to children of both genders, as well as fans of nostalgia due to the revivals they produced, so right there is a start! I'm just wondering if Fi M prompted them to notice how their demographic wasn't what they were expecting at all, and made them reevaluate their mission.

They used the term 'bronies' in an OFFICIAL HUB PROMO

At least SOME of their marketing team is aware of the weight we hold over them. At the very least, we have some recognition.
