Okay, I didn't know there was an official website with episodes. I'll consider that if I ever want a rewatch.

In this case, it's a bit moronic to expect every pony to be able to disintegrate themselves, the piece themselves back together somewhere else.
Well see, the weird thing about "winking in and out" in the first series was that it wasn't just teleportation; unicorns could also suspend it and stay invisible, and intangible, I think, making for some strange games of hide and seek. One of them, Baby Ribbon, struggled with the ability and often came back with only parts of her visible at first. So maybe what winking out means is they suspend some of the properties of matter somehow and become massless, and then they can just think their way across a space quickly, maybe with just a little telekinetic push. I don't think it's more ridiculous than the idea that pegasi have mass reduction as one of their Required Secondary Powers. But I dunno, if anyone has a better idea of how unicorn magic was supposed to work back then, we can use the "pre-FIM" thread too.

@ coco yeah discovery kids would be at least 20% cooler with MLP. They only air LazyTown and kiddie shows(5 years old or less) :(

On the bright side the Latin dubb is on the works

Seen about six episodes so far; four on The Hub, two on YouTube. Digging the hell out of it so far, I really wish I had them all on DVD or something cause it's a perfect veg out/cheering up kinda show to watch a bunch at once.

but will it be any good without Laren Faust involved?

Speculating about the physical basis of magic in MLP is really pointless, because the show doesn't even try to obey physics at all.

It runs squarely on Rule of Funny and Cartoon Physics

Phew, this one came down to the wire because I'm an idiot and a masochist. This is a vague continuation of yesterday with twice as many panels. I really need to learn to stop overextending. Anyway, 15 minute early sneak preview!. tongue

[up][up][up]Faust was still involved in the scripting phase, and the rest of the team is mostly the same, so it'll probably be fine.

Already planning to do so.

I'm thinking of buying the toys just to show my support.

It would also be nice if they'd release an official soundtrack, I'd snatch that up.

I would also watch the Hub if I could, but I'm Canadian, so no go there. Definitely would buy a DVD release, though. I have also bought a couple of the toys to show support (the Twilight I customized and a Fluttershy as a gift... if I ever stop destroying myself with these drawings, I'm considering trying to customize a Fluttershy or Pinkie Pie).

The YMMV page. "Unfortunate Implications." Someone added the "mule" gag in "A Dog and Pony Show."

Would she react the same way to biracial children?

Seriously?

Also, that page has a lot more complaining about "Feeling Pinkie Keen" than when I last checked.

That's a bit of unfortunate implications in and of itself, if you ask me; it's not a matter of race. Horses and Donkey's are, in fact, different species, not just different races of the same species. The equivalent would probably be calling someone a neanderthal, or whatever we call the missing link.

That sort of makes me wonder what Zecora would be considered - she has the same physiology as a pony(at least visually), so would Zebras in this world be called a subset of pony? Or, since we've seen full horses, are there regular and pony versions of every different species of ungulate? Like, pony cows, pony gazelles, pony giraffes?

Rationality is the flavor of this age, so anything that even remotely smacks of "Can't explain, DEAL WITH IT" is going to get attacked and defended round and round the block.
