A sewing machine I believe

The closer you look at something, the more flaws you're going to see. But yeah, there are really no glaring issues so far. About 60% of what I have at the moment consists of "this scene makes so much more sense when you see it a second time". There are obviously going to be a few (nitpicky) flaws, but I can't think of any enormous issues other than that the way the Zap Apple Jam is made struck me a a little too bizarre, even for this show. Stuff like talking to the bees makes sense, but stuff like "singing the alphabet to the watering cans while hopping over them in a bunny suit" just seemed like a bit too much "random for the sake of random". It's not a major problem by any means, but it did make me go "wait, what?" when stuff like ponies controlling the weather or magical plants that play pranks on ponies didn't bug me at all. Might just be me though. I've never been a big fan of "It's funny because it's so random!" humor.

That said, it's a minor nitpick; the overall review is shaping up to be positive.

I chalked up the whole "singing the alphabet to the watering cans while hopping over them in a bunny suit" to her just being Pink... er, Granny Smith.

But the whole point of the ep was that doing all of that weird crap actually WAS vital to growing the Zap-Apple trees and preparing the Jam

Why're you sighing at me, Ginger? I still haven't had time to see the episode, but that's the impression I'm getting. =)

@Ginger: What I mean is that even by the standards of the show, the Zap Apple stuff was a bit much. I get that the whole bunny suit thing was necessary for making the jam, but it just seems like the writers were trying a bit too hard to cram in all sorts of ridiculous crap into the process even if none of it made any sense. I mean, we've seen other magical plants, but they're all more subtle in the ways that the ponies have to manipulate them, and actually kinda related to what they're used for. Like I said, I think the writers went a bit too far in the "how ridiculous can we make it" direction.

But again, it's a really minor nitpick, and it probably has more to do with my dislike of that particular brand of humor than anything else, so I'm going to drop it.

Prepare to be sorely disappointed.

Where are you getting the impression from, Red?

Granny Smith as she is NOW kinda acts like Pinkie, but in the past... we don't really have much to gauge her personality with. She certainly cared a lot about her family.

@Red: Granny Smith doesn't really act like Pinkie when younger. The randomness is...well it'll make more sense if you just watch the episode. Explaining it in advance would ruin the effect.

I noticed something, apple orchards are importand for founding all Earth Pony towns what we saw in show

Apple clan - most powerfull EP family in Equestria.

So, two? That's not enough for a proper correlation. Manehattan was Earth Pony dominant and it had no Apple Trees.

Well, the only towns we've seen founded with Apple Orchards were the ones that were actually founded by the APPLE FAMILY (or the Smiths). I highly doubt Orchards are 100% necessary.

However, I do think that a branch of the Apple family exists in EVERY major city in Equestria
