So, in Family Appreciation Day, did anyone else repeatedly fear that Apple Bloom's attempts to forestall Granny's presentation would end up ruining the Zap-Apple harvest, or at least the jam making?

I actually thought that their meddling would put them in some some sort of danger from the Zap Apples, giving Granny Smith the chance to show she's a badass by rescuing them.

Bide your time and hold out hope.

Water=River Serpents/Sea Ponies.
Earth=Earth Ponies
Flying=Pegasi/Griffons
Ice=Windigos
Psychic=Unicorns
Dragon=Dragons
Dark=Draconequus
Normal=Zebras
Fighting=Diamond Dogs
Bug=Parasprites

That means we're missing; Fire, Electric, Steel, Poison, Rock and Ghost

There are two basic systems of elements. The first was Greek in origin and probably the best well known. Fire, Earth, Water, Air. If you've ever watched W.I.T.C.H. Captain Planet or Avatar you're familiar with these. A fifth element is sometimes added, often something like Aether or Quintessence.

Then you have the eastern elemental system which has five elements. Water, Earth, Metal, Wood, Fire. These are much less common in TV land. I remember the five Foot mystics from Ninja Turtles had this and I think it applies to Sailor Moon as well.

While these two are the most wel known, there were others. For example, the Arabian system was: Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Metal, Sulphur.

And for some strange reason Air was some sort of subset of Wood in the Eastern tradition.

I like some of the fictional element systems with more absurd listings. The Discworld, for example, has earth, air, fire, water, and surprise

And of course Magic: The Gathering has earth, air, fire, water, deepfire, war, blizzard, wood, thorn, tornado, spark, vindictive horse

and bushes filled with wolves

You mean like a new Element of Harmony? In theory, yeah, but I doubt the show would introduce more of them at this point. It would shake up the cast dynamics too much.

I've listened to Pinkie's Brew a few times. I honestly don't know why it's so loved.

I actually haven't watched an kind of abridged series in a while. I really don't see the need for MLP:Fi M to have one let alone multiple series.

Something odd is happening on the poll that Eq D is doing for the Hub. Apparently some guys on /b thought it would make for a good "trolling" if they up voted "the most hated episode in the series", which is apparently MMDW. For the record Eq D has pretty much laughed it off, but it has still made for some interesting results. The current top ten look like this

Lesson Zero: 15%
Luna Eclipsed: 11%
The Mysterious Mare Do Well: 10%
Party of One: 6%
Sonic Rainboom: 4%
Winter Wrap-Up: 4%

I'm kinda surprised that May the Best Pet Win is so high, but other than that it doesn't surprise me much.

Also, this is unrelated, but hilarious: Apple Bloom will think twice about pretending to be sick.

There are people who like the episode, but there's no way that 10% of the voters would ID it as their favorite. I mean, even the people who really enjoyed it tend to think that there are still other better episodes.
