The bizarre thing about the letter is that this episode is basically built to get that moral across. It certainly does, but it's just weird to not see it.

Yeah, but sticking the CMC on letter writing duty would be a bit weird. Celestia is already pushing it by decreeing that Twilight's friends have to send her letters, making her friend's younger sister write letters is going a bit too far. She might as well just make the whole town write her.

At least the bit about the town being founded by Earth Ponies was confirmed. Not sure how to reconcile the timeline though without making GS over a century old. Which is possible, I guess.

Sweetie Belle helped with Rarity's letter. But yeah, that does make sense.

The letters were only a pretense/weapon to be used against Discord anyway. They're not necessary

Also, no members of the mane cast outside of AJ, am I right?
