Morning all! What did I miss?
I like to think that earth ponies have sort of an intuitive knowledge or understanding of the world around them, at least where it applies to their special talent. So an apple farmer like Granny Smith was able to figure out all the weird rules for zap apples. Heck, Pinkie's sense could be an out of control version of that.
My expectations weren't very high, but I like G.Smith as a character anyway, so it was enjoyable, and the backstory was icing.
Can anyone give me a link to the new episode anywhere?
I like DT in that "love to hate her" kind of way
Wait, did I just black out or was there no letter to Celestia at all?
@The Bingo page: Hm... are we really calling this a whole flashback episode?
I know someone somewhere is complaining.
Yes, it's a good thing. In addition to worldbuilding (however weird it is) and all this history we've been getting, it's nice to see the show getting out of its comfort zone.
Canterlot in that flashback was just a bunch of tents, which means it couldn't have been that old. So did Celestia live somewhere else a generation or two before Granny Smith? Is that what the old ruins in the Everfree are?
