@ Applelight: I too would like to see this episode. It'd definitely be pretty interesting since Twi never really considered whether they were worth her time or not and it'd be great to see her realise just how shabbily she had treated them.

Yeah. The Star Swirl toy that was released before Luna Eclipsed is a young, female pony.

There was at least one bit of fanart with the present-day Star Swirl being the descendent of Star Swirl The Bearded, trying to live up to his reputation.

I actually really enjoyed one piece of fanart that implied that Star Swirl was a mare who invented Twilight's #25 and gave herself a beard because the Canterlot College of Magic wouldn't accept her because she was female.

@ Applelight: I'd assume given how the Fi M universe works, or rather how it presents most people as generally content, I'd assume most of them would receive her warmly. However, it'd be pretty amusing if the majority didn't know who she was or were lukewarm to her efforts to catch up.

Alternatively, maybe Twi could overstress herself by anticipating how they might shun her, and, in turn avoid them, only to be sought out and reassured there was no bad blood at all.
