Two things,
one: our chances against a pony depends upon what world it's taking place in. Here in the real world, the ponies lose their magic and cartoon abilities (probably), making them like intelligent...dogs or something.
In their world, we would either be at the mercy of invincable magical toons...or we too gain cartoon powers.
Two: Friendship is indeed fucking magic people. A friend agreed to cover my Sunday shift...potentially saving my entire academic career. And he wants nothing in return!

Ah, I see.
So, it turns out that while our cells react to Capascin in such a way that it causes burning pain, birds' receptors just aren't shaped the same way, and the capscin doesn't react

Which means that they don't experience the damage or burning pain, and thus readily eat the spiciest of peppers and disperse their seeds, which stay intact because they don't grind the seeds up by chewing on them.
According to one of our pages, farm-raised Fugu dishes are finished off with a very light dusting of the toxin, to get that mouth-numbing experience.

The second one is especially worrying since the fanfic in question started with a sweet and innocent Twi-Shy and then had an Appledash pairing containing dirty jokes about "apple pie".
And then Fluttershy developed multiple personalities, and Pinkie had a dream containing Charlie The Unicorn.
I think it hit Writing by the Seat of Your Pants several weeks ago.
As noted, it wasn't in this thread, it was on fimfiction.

. . .you know, there is something that has been bothering me lately. This will probably cause problems, but I honestly do want an answer.
Why do people think fics like Cupcakes and Rainbow Factory are great, and I don't mean why do people like those fics (I can kind of understand the appeal), but why do people honestly lavish praise and call these fics "haunting" or "original" (the last one particularly bothers me)?

There wouldn't be an unofficial sequel/AU every other day on Fimfiction if there wasn't someone who liked it. Then there is stuff like the Ask Pinkamena blog which I never understood why that got such praise.
It's hard to tell with Cupcakes since I read grammatically cleaned up version (not sure if there is much different from the original). Not sure about Rainbow Factory.
Also why did you like that blog? No really, I would like to know. I have only seen a few pages of it and all it did was make me annoyed or angry.

@ Mio Because I enjoy juxtaposition, and the blog blended several things that I never would have thought could be blended. It's a fine experiment in storytelling, and a mostly successful one at that.
