Books (from two pages ago)? I must have a few hundred pounds of books in my room. More than 20 Discworld, a ton of Star Wars, some Dragon Age, Zelda Manga, a tiny amount of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Manga (nowhere sells it), Lord of the Rings (and all associated books), some Asimov, best Science Fiction stories of the year 2009/10/11. And that's not even all of my fiction.
I read the first chapter of Article 2 a while ago I think. It didn't grab my attention so I stopped.

If a story is long, then I need a Good, competent villain with a lot of focus to keep my attention.
but if it's too long then I can't read it on the internet. I'd need to have it in front of me inbook form.
Plus, Human in equestria plots (especially if they're apparently the chosen one or some shit) tend to rub me the wrong way

Well, It does have a villain, but I'm not a good judge on villain quality. And, no, the main Character isn't the chosen one. He is in a relationship with Luna though, which I guess may get on your nerves, but I think is done well enough to not be a pain. Not sure about how to get it in book format though. Printers?
Besides, even when the plot gets serious, this is primarily a comedic fic, not dark. Nobody has died, even in the fight scenes.

Through The Eyes is different, though. The protagonist has no idea how he got there, and was at the beginning essentially going along for the ride. He's not even really the Chosen One in the actual story.
