It's pretty well-executed, and Firewall ain't the most personable of ponies, what with the constant trololollin from him.

And he screws up pretty darn badly on a couple of occasions. The author has admitted that while he started as a self-insert, Character Development has basically turned Firewall into an OC pony.

He gets pretty abused too. Trolled by the Princesses on several occassions, battered by the Guards, that sort of thing. He's a total sucker for punishment XD

Anyway, I just came here to point out that a person who's review of the season one pilot I linked to, Which I found very fair (He kind of liked it, and did recomend people watch it, but was too girly for him, and he doesn't call himself a brony), has released a review of the season 2 pilot. Think of it a fair review from a non-brony.

The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.

Yeah, Article 2 is a fairly sweet read, all the minor language/grammar mixups aside. The depictation of Luna in that story is surprising close to canon even :D

Umm, I'm coming up with a blank there, really the only one I can think of that even has real villians is Fallout Equestria.

Project Horizon (A spinoff from Fallout Equestria with even more grimness like poor Morning Glory's suffering) has some seriously nasty customers like Sanguine and a coupla other shady ponies.

Villains in pony fics tend to be pretty meh in my opinion. Then again alot of the stories I've read don't really have (or need) villains.
