The major theory about why Celestia and Luna are on the banner is that it's historical artistic license - that is, that most ponies wouldn't recognize the first Equestrian flag (or, perhaps, that it was lost during the Chaos Times), and they decided to use the modern flag instead.

^Skimpiest bikini for Rarity? Check. Male bathing suit for Dashie? Check. Polka dots for Pinkie? Check.

Rarity was fully prepared to let Spike have the ruby; she wanted it, yes, but she wasn't going to ask for it, because it was his present to himself. Spike's giving it to her was an uncoerced act of pure generosity.

No, her body language definitely said 'I want it'. She may have been willing to go without, but subconsciously she was broadcasting.

I'm honestly on the fence about it. Rarity probably didn't realize that she was broadcasting, so I can't fault her for that, but she could have turned it down. But then it obviously meant a lot to Spike to give it to her. It's honestly a bit of a hard call, if you ask me.

I... wow, really? Thanks, Mousa. And yeah, Twi is best pony. Followed by AJ, at the moment. And maybe Pinkie, depending on the writer. But that could be because I'm still super excited for her episode, plus I'm still in a Christmassy sort of mood and Pinkie is the best pony for Christmas.

Speaking of, It's a couple hours past christmas here, but one last merry christmas anyways, for anyone who happens to live far enough west, if such a beast exists.

The bikini tops are kinda pointless on ponies though, because their, ah, anatomy is somewhat different from ours. Twilight should have been wearing mizugi instead, and Rarity is waaay more exposed than Fluttershy there.
