I didn't find MMDW to be that bad of an episode. The main problem with it is that the genre shift is so abrupt compared to a normal episode that reality itself seems to warp to have things happen. You can't have a superhero episode without people to save, and since there's no crime in Ponyville (none that they will show us, at least) that leaves accidents and disasters to save ponies from. So they had to have 5+ potentially fatal events happen in what appears to be quick succession to get the plot to work. As a stand-alone episode, it's fun and makes some cool Batman nods (especially in the music near the end) so I like it. In the context of the series as a whole, though, it sticks out like s sore thumb.

Sure, let's go back to Pony Ergonomics.

It must be tiresome to swing a hammer with your neck. Couldn'y they just wear some steel-soled hoofshoes and stomp/buck in lieu of a hammer clearly designed for critters with hands, tentacles, or other such prehensile extremities?

There's also the human-sized benches, which Lyra helpfully demonstrates to everpony how to be seated upon properly.

On the upside, the art team scales doors to be just the right size for the ponys, wider and a little shorter than most human-scale doors. Does Fluttershy's cottage or Rarity's boutique have a flap for smaller animals like Opal to use?

Clearly the ponies are using leftovers of technology Megan gifted to the original Dream Valley generation. The ponies even know and use Terran horse tack, although clearly the bridles are part of some kind of domination play when not being used as restraints.

Fluttershy's doors do tend to have little mouse holes in them.

And yeah some sort of solid metal contraption they slide over there hoof to use like we use a hammer.

Of course I still prefer the, they know we're watching and are just messing with us, theory.

I prefer to believe that all the pony generations are linked, and the g3 and 3.5 series are seen Through the Eyes of Madness during the Discordian Age, making it instantly a thousand times more horrific. G1 and G2 take place before an unspecified disaster long, long before the events of Hearth Warming.

The whole pony ergonomics thing bugged me enough that my oc pony on the fanon thread makes her own tools better designed for her own use, since she's a craftspony, an engineer of budding talent and lots of imagination.

Hopefully he gets a sort of reverse hype backlash from this, we've built it up as being so aweful, that it doesn't seem as bad compared to it.

@Ginger, As soon as I saw the synopsis I was like "Oh man Oh man, Oh man, Ginger is going to be furious!" and I was giggling the entire build up and by the time I actually saw your reaction I cracked up entirely. Basically, knowing you was funny in of itself.

The description probably isn't 100% true, and perhaps it'll take a Dog and Pony Show approach, only with a likable character.
