Pony ergonomics: how do they work?

I've always figured that ponies had a very slight form of tactile TK the was focused through the hooves. This also explains why, even though Unicorn's for the most part only learn and use spells related to there cutie mark, all Unicorn's are able to utilize TK, even before getting a cutie mark in some cases. TK is simply something innate to pony physiology, hooves act as a weak focusing channel that has only limited usability, while horns are a much more potent focus for this lower allowing to be projected, and not simply tactile.

As to pony ergonomics, some theories

They are basing there tech on that left behind by an earlier civilization, and have learned to get along with it for so long nopony even thinks about redesigning them.

It's a sort of Translation Convention the objects are not actually designed that way, but are made for ponies, it's just the show shows us the human equivalent of what they are using to make it simpler.

There is some sort of omniversal morphic resonance field that causes such items to be developed along set lines regardless of how useful they would be to the makers race.

The animators simply do not have the time to design, draw, and animate every single item in the pony universe as it would best be used by ponies and so have to settle for something working, but not as well as it could.

The ponies only use those things or set them up in times/areas they know we'll be watching and are doing it to mess with us.

What'd I miss?

Rarity was talking about her pony-pedi in the Diamond Dog mines previously. To a point, I suspect she had her hooves trimmed and smoothed not just for looks but also so she could handle the more delicate threadwork of her wares manually without damaging the fabric.

To that end, ponies might care more for their hooves than our Terran equines because they're even more important to daily life.

I just finished "Cutie Pox". I probably wont have time to watch "May The Best Pet Win!" until after Christmas.

I'm still catching up. In the past 36 hours, I only got three hours of sleep and 16 of those hours were spent standing for 8 hours straight each time. Needless to say, I won't be updating as often as I used to.

And also, I laughed so hard at Ginger's outrage at the synopsis for the AJ episode. I was disappointed by it too but his rage was beautiful.

Also, Welcome back Fells, and "pornographic"? Why go and use those terms, I'm jittery enough with the art as is without thinking about actual intercourse, PG-13 for nudity, sexual themes, and mild language is as far as I go.
