One thing that strikes me is that lots of the tech used by the Equestrian ponies isn't very ergonomic for hooves and mouth.

It always seemed like they were using cast off tech from a previous civilisation.

I found that a bit odd so my oc pony designed her own tools.

Well, it seems to me that these ponies' hooves are far more dexterous than they appear. The ponies can move their legs in ways that a normal equine would find impossible, and their hooves seem to be able to grip (or at least cup) objects to hold on to them. Is it contact telekinesis? Lazy animation? Who knows? It makes for some cute interactions with objects, and most tools we see just have simple handles, which the hooves can handle well enough without looking too awkward.

They might also use that hollow behind the raised edges of their hooves as well.

Granted, it is a cartoon, but its fun to analyse.
