Yeah, I very rarely read fics either.

As for Terry's comics, they basically run the gamut from being idiotic to being hilarious. I take them on a case by case basis. The one that's actually linked above is a pretty good explanation for the phenomenon, although no matter now much I like the characters I still wouldn't find them physically attractive unless they were humanized.

So...I skimmed through the thread, but it seemed to me that nobody recced Fallout Equestria to the newcomer. Granted, it is' kind of an awkward thing to recommend, given the grimdark and all, but it is pretty much the de-facto FIM fic.

It was reced....But I'm not that in the to Grimdark.

I read a few chapters of Frigid Winds And Burning Hearts, and I also read the genderbent fic (which is short ish for a complete fic), but that's about it.
