Yea, I realize you're going for something more realistic, which is why I mentioned Google Images, although I guess I neglected to say I searched for real ponies there. They've actually got just as much of a belly as the show ponies (most of the other proportions are grossly different).

On Princess Candace: Only the voice actor for "Shining Actor" is known, Candace could something made up entirely for a board at some thing to make a Royal Wedding parody. If she does appear, I wouldn't be surprised if she were less pink and even not an alicorn. Haven't we learned anything from the toys and their accuracy? Oh no of course we haven't.

On the Derpy filename: I sincerely believe the Hub/Hasbro is trolling us. They know we were going to datamine that mini-game and look at the file names. They know we raged about background pony names. They're toying with us. Of course, we don't know humor when we see it.

Now if you excuse me, I'm going to be cynical somewhere in peace!

This is assuming they're able to play the instruments normally, of course. There have been pony bands in the series before and it wasn't all unicorns using telekinesis, so I assume it would be possible.

If they really wanted to troll us, they'd use different names for Derpy/Ditzy in each filename.

In regard to Princess Cadence: The reason people are reacting so much is that unlike pretty much all the other toy-exclusive stuff, she was pretty obviously designed by the people who work on the show. There are unique elements to the characters design. If it were just a Palette Swap of Celestia or Luna I'd be with you on calling it a marketing gimmick, but it nails the show design so well that I really have to give it due consideration.

Rainbow Dash is either drums or lead guitar, Twilight does synths, Applejack plays bass, Fluttershy stands in the back with a triangle, Rarity sings, and Pinkie either sings or does her one-pony polka.

I just hammered a new picture out, have yet to scan it though. Same medium as before, blue ink on white card. I would vector it, but first I need to get to grips with GIMP, which I have mostly used up til now for making optimized compressed jpegs and layering some stuff together. Uploading it later :3

@Ginger: I bet Rarity gets the acoustic guitar, Pinkie goes on the keytar, Dashie takes the lead guitar, Twilight is lead Bassist, AJ hits the drums, and Fluttershy is the vocalist (after some liquid courage or something).

I just thought of something funny about Fluttershy with music. In the first episode, she was training birds to sing for the celebration, maybe she could use that as her instrument? As in, instead of playing something herself, she conducts a bird orchestra.

I swear I've heard the word "Cadence" used in a context outside of music or ponies.

Tell me Ginger, what logical reason is there for the team to put in "Definitely Canon" in the file name of Ditzy Doo's image? There isn't, it's a joke, a for them to have a laugh when we datamine their stuff basically saying "Oh yeah, you know this "character" you guys are in love with? Good luck figuring out whether we mean it or not!"

I bet there's a crew member in Studio B who keeps warm in cold weather on the flames of burning fanon and fanrage. They are never seen in public without their trollface mask.

@Ginger: A cadence is a beat of some sort - so you could refer to the cadence of marching feet, though it's kind of a soft term for something like that.

Inventor pony is best idea for new pony.

I'd love a sort-of episode where all sorts of accidents are happening, and there's a new pony going around and trying things and lending everypony stuff. Turns out a lot of the accidents are their fault, mostly unintentionally and because the prototype gadgetry being tested is still in need of refinements, and the lesson is learnt by newcomer that you must really make sure everypony else knows what you're doing and why so misunderstandings can be avoided. Also remember to check the failsafes, lol.

My own OC pony is a part-time inventor. Bright Idea mostly runs a lighting shop, but she also dabbles in all sorts of gadgetry. She'll eventually invent powered armor after several seasons worth of experience (as in about 65+episodes of exp) and lots of accidents (Of the "Ten percent thrus-" WHOOSHCLANG variety).
