What crests would the mane cast have? (I was just thinking of Digimon )

• Courage - Rainbow Dash (she's always the first one to jump into battle, even if she's outgunned and outclassed. "The bravery of idiots is bravery nonetheless")
• Knowledge - Twilight (perhaps too obvious?)
• Reliability - Applejack (again, obvious. Or maybe Spike? XD)
• Sincerity - Rarity (probably not after Sweet and Elite, where she lied her ass off, and definition wise, Sincerity probably fits more with Applejack's Honesty. Regardless, I've always found Rare to be a pretty damn sincere pony )
• Love and Hope - Either Pinkie or Fluttershy (I can't decide)
• Light - Spike (I guess? XD)

I have to question giving Courage to Dash. Wasn't a big part of Ty's character arc figuring out that the definition of courage wasn't running into danger like an idiot, but instead having the courage to defend something you care about? Essentially strength of self, but in a package kids will understand. Dash, for her part, is actually fairly lacking in strength of self.

@Death: I certainly agree that she had huge roles in those episodes, which made me enormously happy . You don't really ever hear people talking about Zecora in any capacity, however. That's what I meant by underrated, but, as I said, don't wanna complain about it in any way .

I just have a soft spot for Zecora. She was, I think, the first of the ponies I ever saw pictures of when first hearing about the show, and it instantly won the show some favors with me when deciding whether to check it out. I loved her design, and at first, I presumed that she would be one of the main characters. Was even a bit disappointed when that turned out not to be the case.

Zecora is just...adorable. In a badass way.

Knowledge or friendship for Twi, wisdom for applejack, Kindness for Fluttershy, purity for Rarity, Rainbow dash..... Is a villain, love or friendship for Pinkie.

So let me see if I remember the original order here:

• Ty: Courage
• Matt: Friendship
• TK: Hope
• Mimi: Sincerity
• Sora: Love
• Kari: Light
• Joe: Knowledge

About that first poll a while back: I'm really terrible with statistics so maybe someone more experienced can tell me if this is true or not. But isn't it possible that the wide standard deviation/variance of the female data vs narrower stdev/var of the male population data is caused by the sheer number of the male population?

Some interesting stuff, I wish I had time or knowledge to do my own analysis or discuss on it but oh well.

Wisdom and purity were renamed reliability and sIncerity for the dub, and I don't care if kindness was introduced In 02, it still counts.

Okay, now we have 9 crests and 7 mane characters

How on earth is wisdom and reliability interchangeable? I mean, yeah, in those particular instances you can say that Joe and/or Cody exhibits reliability, but still.

It still leaves RD crestless either way because she doesn't deserve courage. The show made it clear the crest did not reward brash stupidity.

I wonder who could get the crest of Kindness.

@ ginger, I only watched the dub too but I was so obsessed with the show as a kid that I did my research.

To be fair I only said that because no crest fit her, it could've easily have been Rarity.

The Ho Yay is off the charts. There's dudes with beautiful eyes, long flowing hair and slender, toned bodies holding each other languorously in their arms all the time. It's excruciating. And kinda hot.

Now I see the Mane Six doing just that...
