Some people dislike Twist because of her lisp. some people dislike Pip because... fuck, I don't know. He got to be nice to Luna where one of the mane six could? where one of the CMC could? He seemed arbitrary or some shit - fuck, I can't even sympathize with that. They introduced the poor kid for one episode! He was cute, and he had no lasting impact! The episode wasn't even that spectacular compared to the rest of the season, so it's not as if he'll blight you on every rewatch, and even if you do feel the need to play it over and over he's barely in it and not that bad when he is! I genuinely don't see any reason to hate Pip.

I can actually kind of understand people disliking Pipsqueak.

Mind you, I myself don't have an opinion one way or another, but... the very moment the character is introduced we're given his name and a summarized backstory and pretty much it feels like they're setting him up to be someone important later, and it almost comes off like they're foisting him on us and really trying hard to make him stand out (even down to giving him an accent), and I can see why people would resent that and the character in general.

As for Twist, personally I find her kind of annoying, but not "show-ruiner" annoying.

Twist, can not stand that voice, at all. can deal with her personality, but that voice, no, just no.

Pip, initially disliked just due to how it looked like he could become a Wesley/Scrappy and was scared the writers, for one reason or another, were about to make a huge mistake.

Now that the episodes over and they clearly were never going to do anything I was afraid of happening, I like him.

Also, not sure if this has been linked yet in the ten pages I missed, but if so, who cares it deserve another one. This may be one of the saddest, yet most heartwarming, and just plain awesomely tearjerking pony video yet. [1]
