Well, of course. With its new found popularity I don't see My Little Pony going away any time soon so I say spinoffs and timeskips are less a possibility and more an inevitability. I would honestly be apprehensive if Bronies ever got control of any of the official sources of MLP.

I'm mostly hoping that this show will set a trend of sorts, so we'll have more shows of this kind of quality.

If anything, i'm hoping this gets some exec to green light Lauren Faust's Galaxy Girls project. If this is what she does with MLP, imagine what something she made from scratch would be like.

Yeah, I think the important thing is that they've hit on a formula that makes for a show that non-little-girls aren't ashamed to watch. They've made the franchise more respectable than it ever was, so I think while the show itself might end, they definitely aren't going to go back to the girly-girl stuff of the earlier generations.

Besides, the fandom is pretty close to being self-contained; it churns out fanart and such quick enough that even after the show ends, it'll probably go for a while. It's not like the bronies are going to vanish from the internet a week after the show ends.

yeah. Girls tv could learn a lot from this show.

iit would probably be a bad thing yeah, but lesser shows got spin offs and time skips, so I wouldn't mind fim getting the same treatment.
