I was planning to do this back when the thread hit 50, 000 posts, but it took longer than I expected. Anyway, in honor of the thread reaching 50k posts, I have calculated some statistics on the thread. It's an interesting summary of the threads history.

No, that's just the most frequent words in each set of pages. I thought it was interesting because you can see when certain episodes came out and when certain topics were making the rounds.

Note the fact that DisQord was more popular than Discord

In about 14 months we did over 50000 posts. On average, about 3571 posts per month, rounded down. Divided by average of 30 days/month, we get about 119 posts/day rounded down.

IIRC, Death used Dis Qord pretty much exclusively. The other posters used a mix.

It can be also noted that the commenting velocity is growing exponentially.

@Applelight: It takes a warrior human to design armor! Even the finest of the Steel Rangers will never have gear as optimized as mine! Bwahahahaha! (ahem.)

I even adapted the jumpjets in my suit into artificial wings for my OC pony, since she is an Earth Pony and has no wings to fit into the suit.

Clever!

It gives me ideas for my own OC inventer, though I was aiming for large metal mouth style wings myself.

I haven't read Saint Seiya yet (mostly because I can't find the derned thing), Sorry I do not get your reference.

@Applelight: I put some serious thought into armor design, enough to rival Tony Stark when he's in workaholic mode. The pony version of my armor actually doesn't need the tailguard to protect the flanks and rump from being roasted by the exhaust from the wing-thrusters, since they swing out (into wingboner position lol) so's they vent outboard, whereas my regular human-form suit needs the gluteus guardplate to protect from rumproast when you fire the jumpjets. It's there because I decided to give the armor a dresslike element and protect their tail. Form and function!

On top of that, while in flight or while jumpjetting, the visual effect would give the pony pilot in my armor a seriously sweet look with the exhaust contrails streaming like Rainbow Dash's mane does when she does the Sonic Rainboom, only without the rainbow effect.

That settles it, Bright "Bri" Idea ("Bride" being a nickname jokingly bestowed upon her as a result of an embarassing photo, and "Bridle" also coming from another even more embarassing photo), my OC Pony, will be a thaumatech engineer. She might end up a rival of the clockpunk pony, and runs a lighting shop for her day job.

Could anyone picture Fancy Pants being into boxing? He has the stature for it.

Thing is (and I'm about to get historical again), he has a sort of 'muscular chirstianity' thing going on (that's a 19th century middle class British thing). I can picture him working out in a stripy tank top and orange shorts, with big old fashioned boxing gloves.

Just read the page to have a pretty good idea of the plot and the characters. Essentially, Athena's current incarnation is an aristocratic young slender purple haired regal girl that goes by the name Saori. A Foundation picked up many orphans around the world and subjected them to The Spartan Way to get an elite of twelve bronze Saints, sworn to protect her. There's also twelve Silver and twelve Gold. The first main arc is a competition between Bronze guys (who already went through often lethal training and competition just to get there) them to see who gets the best lootparty equipmentgold armor available to them: the armor of the Sagittarius. The Great Pope is the commander of the Gold knights, and ruler of the Sanctuary. And... oh, fuck it.

Look, there's a Godess, she's often in peril, twelve very colourful and interesting knights (save for the Standardized Leader, boring dude) who have sworn to protect her with their lives and who wear awesomecool armors which give them special powers and protection (at the expense of slowing them down and buffering their inhuman power, so they remove them when stuff gets really desperate) set off on a race against the clock to defeat a Sorting Algorythm Of Evil in time so that the princess can live, otherwise great catastrophes will happen etc. It's very, very shounen, and fairly Troperiffic.

Now imagine what a crossover would be like. Well, not literally, only a crossover in the same sense that Dangerous Business is a crossover with LOTR.

It's just... how do you make for this Tournament Arc-style system without making too heavy use of Violence Is The Only Option? I mean, the only two ponies that'd be any good at violence would be RD and AJ...

But with training... Celestia could just draft them from their daily lives and put them through boot...

Fluttershy is like so totally Andromeda I can't see her as anything else. And AJ feels like something between Cygnus and Pegasus... RD is Shiryuu? And where do we fit Twilight and Rarity? And Spike gets to be Ikki... but then the Phoenix-Andromeda dynamic gets thrown off...

This is a tough problem...

I prefer not to watch stuff, if there's an opportunity to read it, I will, especially if the reading is the source material. I've only watched something if it has no other form or to introduce me to something to read.

That sounds like it would be amazing to see.

And for some reason it makes me think of Power Stone. I now demand to see Fancypants transforming into a bright red rocket-robot.
