Actually, I SAY Twilight would let me hug her, but would she?

I'm using the logic that she'd be excited over seeing such an unusual creature, and would be more willing to interact with it than the others would.

Fluttershy would just run away. Shame, she's the one who's most huggable out of the mane cast.

I don't know about that. Fluttershy might be excited over the prospect of hugging some new creature, but Twilight might just be creeped out. You should at least try to actually become friends first before glomming on.

Fluttershy seems okay being friendly with dangerous creatures such as manticores and bears, so she might be fine hugging a human.

Wouldn't Twilight wanna study a creature as unusual as we'd be though? I assume she and Pinkie would be the most open and diplomatic about it.

I just figured she'd be wanting to interact with us as much as possible.

and I meant I'd ASK if I could hug her first. I wouldn't just glomp her

Does Twilight have any interest in biology? I imagine she'd be more interested in the prospect of another world and how you managed to travel between them. Of course the result would be the same, her wanting you near to pelt with questions. That would be a bit awkward actually, I'd be somewhat disinclined to talk about Earth to ponies. We're so much more depressing then they are.

I don't think it'd be that hard to describe earth in a flattering way to someone like Twilight. Unless she specifically asked about the bad stuff (and I don't see how THAT would come up) I don't think Earth's as bad as you think it is, Crow

I don't think our world is terrible or anything, it's just that there are some things that aren't really considered bad that I'd feel weird telling to a pony. If they asked if we had horses in our world for example. I don't think I'd lie, but I wouldn't enjoy that conversation.

Really? I'm sure Twilight would understand that, being a completely different world, there may be some differences in the way certain creatures behave. I don't think she'd take it personally.

Would you tell them that they're all characters in a show in our world?

I don't think she'd take it personally either, but that doesn't mean I'd enjoy explaining it to her. It just sounds like a big awkward moment.

The TV show thing, I don't know. Do I really want to burden them with a bunch of existential angst? If I did bring it up I'd need a tactful way to do so, not just telling them they're fictional. I guess I could say that given an infinite number of universes it only makes sense that there's at least one that more or less coincides with any given work of fiction.

Lets hope the bidding doesn't get too aggressive.

I would try to handwave it that Lauren Faust might have heard about her story some way or another before the show came into being.

Speaking of which, would Lauren herself squee and try to hug the ponies if she met them herself?

Anyway, S & E has moved Rarity to second best pony in the mane 6 for me...purely because it demonstrates how Rarity brings out the best in the writers...she'd be no.1 if it wasn't for AJ.
