I haven't seen the episode yet, so I've skipped a massive number of pages. Also, this is probably hideously off topic now, but I see that you were voting for best pony (as well as discussing some other stuff).

1. Twilight 2. Fluttershy 3. This is incredibly hard. Probably Rainbow Dash. (And naturally, JT has said the same thing.)

I like Celestia, but I’m not going to deny liking Luna more. I find characters who are just “awesome” to be less interesting. I’m interested in personality, not competence. I must admit that I loved Tia going Stern Teacher and teasing her subjects though.

On chocolate: White, milk and dark are all equally awesome for different reasons.

All I'm going to say is that after the episode, Rarity is gunning for the #3 spot. Also, after you've seen the episode, read this.

And given that my "Which pony are you?" test ended up looking like this, the fact that those three are my favorites really shouldn't be surprising.

I actually like dark chocolate the most; 80% cacao is like the golden ratio of chocolate.

My favourite chocolate is standard chocolate. Then White and I don't like dark.

Snake Fleur

I still prefer white chocolate. (yes, I know it isn't TRUE chocolate but who cares?) Dark chocolate is FAR too bitter for my tastes.

Also, Rarity remains firmly entrenched as my 5th favourite pony. I honestly couldn't tell you why

All chocolate is good to me. Especially with caramel or peanut butter mixed in.

White chocolate is basically candied milk locked in a block form. It's a nice snack, but not my style.

Dark Chocolate is the concentrated essence of flavour. The bitterness gives it a tangible edge that awakens you, and the nutrients in the cocoa concentrate that goes into dark chocolate make it nourishing. It's like a low-caffiene coffee only with better taste. It's much richer and thicker than other kinds of chocolate, making it more satisfying to my taste. Best done up with raisins, ice cream, and that crumbly thing Cadbury calls Flake.

...man, now I want a bar of dark chocolate.

Anyway, can ponies eat chocolate? I know dogs can't because there's something in cocoa that is toxic to canines.

One thing I'm loving is the colour coded magic this season. Last episode was the first time it was properly shown off, but it's great. I especially love the way the aura changes colour when one unicorn takes something from another unicorn

Wow, I never noticed the color at all, and I don't think it was really necessary, because what are you going to think when you go back and watch season 1 again?

Food always comes back up, especially when we post hungry.

Just to jump back to the toy discussion, but I still maintain that the closest we have to show-accurate stuff right now are either the blind-bad toys or the MLP ponies with the molded hair from the "Friendship Is Magic" box set. Too bad you can't find them any more.

Personally, I prefer milk chocolate. I don't really like how white chocolate tastes, and I'm not overly fond of the bitter edge to dark.

All chocolates are good, but for different reasons. White chocolate is sweet and creamy, milk chocolate is rich and warm, and dark chocolate is sharp, and alive.

now I'm going to go chocolate-hipster on you here, and say that the best chocolate I've ever had was actually made with hot pepper. It was just a bit spicy, and tangy and had a delicious bite to it.

And now, to connect this to ponies: What do you think their favourite treat is? Not just chocolate, maybe not even a sweet or pastry, just their favourite little snack to have?

Pinkie, of course, would take the sweetest thing she could find. Rarity would probably prefer something subtler, and not at all messy - maybe some sort of cookie, like a ladyfinger with tea? Dash I can imagine liking sour things, and AJ is probably something like an apple fritter or a slice of pie. I'm drawing a blank on Fluttershy, but for some reason I see Twi liking plain old chocolate chip cookies.

They were basically drunk, okay?

It is basically canon that sweets make the ponies drunk or high. Only Applejack was acting kinda OOC, too.

Besides, they were praised for crashing the gala, and only Fluttershy and Pinkie actually actively disrupted anything.

@JT: The review was good. I liked the episode, but think that I'll enjoy it more on my second watch. I must admit that the very high % cocoa chocolate starts getting too bitter for me.

As for whether chocolate can be eaten by ponies, it clearly can in Equestria. IRL, it's toxic to non-humans. Especially to dogs. (Though there may be other species that I'm unaware of that it's not toxic to.)

This conversation about chocolate being poisonous to ponies is coming dangerously close to reminding me of Bittersweet. (yes, that was about diabetes, but still...)

So mostly humans and Equestrian ponies can eat chocolate? I've seen extraterrestrials like ET enjoy their chocs too. Squirrels, perhaps? (Conker enjoys quite a bit of anti-gravity chocolate)

I'm still kinda curious about what it would be like to meet an Equestrian Pony. It'll be hard to resist the urge to give them a hug for sure :3

Honestly, I'd panic. I had a dream once where I met the Tiny Toons while knowing that they weren't real. It was disturbingly life-like and I'm sure that if it was IRL I'd panic even more. Just think of what the implications are. (Of course, once I'd calmed down I'd want to hug them.)

Also, forgot to mention that this episode confirms that Twilight is best pony.
