Who is Braeburn? And is he canon?
The only people in the world are
Alpha Bitches, Bronies,
Moral Guardians, Nostalgia Nerds, Neo Nazis, Everything Haters, Idiots, My Mom and Me
^Braeburn is Applejack's relative from "Over A Barrel" - Appleoosa's enthusiastic spokespony.
Heteronormativity is so
boring, though. =D (Granted, assuming
Everyone is Bi has just as much potential to be wrong.)
I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!

And boring.
I don't want to set the world on fire, baby. I love you too much. I just want to start a big, big flame in your heart.
Oh sorry, I thought you were talking about someone from the new episode. Speaking of that, is Fleur's name canon? I forget that stuff so fast.
The only people in the world are

Sexuality is boring. Make them all asexual. It will be more interesting.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.
I don't care what other people's headcannon is, It could be nothing like the actual cannon for all I care. Only people who force their cannon on others I dislike. It's your head, therfore It's your headcannon.
^There's nothing wrong with anyone being anything; like I said,
Everyone is Bi has just as much potential to be wrong (or boring, or offensive) as assuming that everyone's gay or everyone's straight. My opinions are based on the cues I pick up over the course of the show - and I will readily admit that I have a pair of
yuri goggles in my bottom drawer, on that note. As it is, here's where I figure the girls stand (if anyone cares - also, yay I get to quantify sexual orientation again):
- Rarity - 95% straight. She's very enamored with her 'dream stallion', but I wouldn't put lesbian behavior past her in extreme circumstances. (Ginger.)
- Fluttershy - 95% straight. I actually have no basis for Fluttershy, since the very idea of romance would probably embarrass her to no end.
- Twilight - 90% straight. It's very hard to tell with her, but for some reason I like her dynamic with a hypothetical bookish colt more than with a hypothetical filly.
- Pinkie - pansexual. Because she's Pinkie Pie.
- Applejack - 60% straight - bisexual, leaning straight. Again, couldn't say why.
- Dash - 20% straight cooler - bisexual, leaning lesbian. Again because I like her dynamic with a hypothetical mare more than with a hypothetical stallion - and because Appledash was my first-noticed 'ship, I suppose.
Anyway... I'm sure I've been ninjaed about eight times by now...

here's a possibly scary thoght. Either Humanized Pinkie or Ponified
Captain Jack hooking up. no one in any universe would be safe.
and again, asmuch as I hate agreeing with Death

i'm in the asexual till proven otherwise crowd. With relationships between ponies not even having gender come into play at all.

Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
I thought you meant
Jack Sparrow.

good point.
Build a fool proof system, and the world will create a better fool.
In my head canon ponies consider sex only as thing for reproduction , nothing more.
Even their equivalent of puberty is about geting symbol of their special talent/goal in life and nothing sex related.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.
Word Of God does state that the ponies reproduce in 'the usual mammalian way', so...
I mean, I imagine it's entirely possible not to have any interest in sex at all except for a short time before the fact, and there's a major difference between asexual and aromantic. Still, though, it's interesting how we as a species seem to view 'recreational sex' as a qualifier for 'more human' - see dolphins and bonobos - and it's also interesting to note how the idea odds me a little bit. (Yes, I will continue to verb words, thank you,
Calvin.)

Pretty much. I figure it's like normal ponies, where every so often they'll go into heat, though not an irresistible desire, is enough that they know if they want a foal, now's the time. And if it's a mare/mare couple that wants a foal, they find a close stallion friend that's willing to help them out.

and definitely agree with the asexual =/= aromantic

Nothing wrong that I can think of, why?
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
^^I don't necessarily disagree with the idea (that recreational sex is 'human'), Ginger; I just find it interesting. (Note: I'm not saying that people who don't have sex for fun
aren't human, so let's not twist my words here. =P) In my case, the idea actually makes it easier to relate to them, for me at least. That says more about me than anything else, I'm sure, though.

@ ginger, well it all depends on if we're talking cannon or not. in show cannon, I just can't see sex as being something big or more then whats required. Mostly it's tying back to the whole, ponies never really grow out of a childish innocence thing.
now fannon wise, no issues with any thing there.
