I don't think that counts seeing as it was a blatant attempt to get her extra Gala ticket. I'm not saying Pinkie is wrong, because Twilight is the best pony, but her motives are suspect.

I don't know if I'd call it really serious character derailment. I could imagine Rainbow saying something along the lines of "Not too shabby, pipsqueek. You might just have what it takes to be as awesome as me some day." And then being the great big Rainbow fangirl she is, Scoots would take that as a full on compliment.

When I think about it I think they didn't show it on weekdays at first because they were waiting for there to be enough episodes for them to strip it.
