I think she read some of the outlines, but she's since moved on. Any later seasons won't involve her.
It's anoying to see people claiming that this season don't have Lauren touch.
They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.
I vote for another sister or cousin.
I love Sparler scene. And her to, she is now one of my fav backgrouds.

I like to think of her filly from this ep as Sparkler's daughter while Dinky is her niece.
Yup, "not rescuing someone who's in danger because she's being busy with her fans" is the worst thing she's ever done in the series willfullingly, it is also an OOC moment - you know, she is an element of loyalty.
It was perfectly in character given the first episode. Ten seconds flat! I'd never leave Ponyville hanging.
It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
Yeah, a bit of overconfidence is 120% in character for Dash. She reached the balloon before it hit the ground; it's just that she didn't reach the balloon before whoever was in the costume for that scene extracted the victim.
"Hm. No choice. I think we're going to need to do something awesome." - Holden Shearer
^Her friends weren't in immediate danger in that scene; if she had gone with the Shadowbolts, yes, they'd have been screwed, but that definitely isn't the same thing as going to the margins of when someone plummeting to their death or horrible injury can be saved. That definitely felt out-of-character for her - or rather, in-character given an exaggeration of her existing character traits.

If anyone happens to have that exact quote I mentioned laying about, please link it.
agreed, Rainbow's biggest flaw is pride, this episode basically showed what happens when that goes to far, she became more concerned with being praised for saving ponies, then actually saving ponies. And it even led into it realistically, at first she really was just trying to help, and it was only after all the other ponies started praising her non-stop that she let it get to her.

I have to agree with Ginger here. (Granted, throwing the baby one's just rescued is one of those
Seen It a Million Times tropes - think
Captain Hammer.) If Dash hadn't spent her catchphrase (and the ensuing
Phrase Catcher conversation with the disturbingly hirsute pony in the... bus...?) allowing the thing to build up momentum, she might have been able to stop it by herself, for instance.

to be fair, maybe she was just secretly trying to rid Equestria of that un-holy abomination before it could fully develop into the reality rending abyss of madness it would surely become.

She also could have saved the balloon pony if she went when Snips asked her to. As it seemed, if it wasn't for Mare Do Well, the pony would have crashed.
