Was the Dragon's smoke even hurting anybody? Twilight instructs RD to clear the smoke at one point.

I really never quite understood how Dragons on Equestrian soil worked. It seemed that the problem with the Dragon in Dragonshy was less that he was there and more that he was billowing smoke while he was napping, but I'm not sure.

I don't think anypony wanted to clean that smoke for the next century. Plus it would probably interfere with the normal function of the whether.

As far as I'm aware, Tealove hasn't even been in the show yet! She exists only as a recoloured Pinkie Pie in the blind bag toy line.

More evidence that Rainbow Dash is a prick. I mean at least the others attempted to use reason (I don't know what Pinkie was doing). She just went in with violence and was totally proud that she did It despite it accomplishing nothing except a threat against her and her friends' lives.

i know, I just wished there could've been another solution to the problem than the Dragon being ejected from the fucking country and being told that he can never return again.

FS said that he made a bad decision. He didn't know what his smoke would do

Actually, the more I think about Dragonshy, the more Dash moves from Jerk to full blown turd in my books.

You all clearly need to read It Takes A Viliage. It gives some nice insight into dragon culture. And yes, Basil was just taking a nap. He wasn't a jerk.

He taked nap what was dangerous to other creatures or even entire place where he choosed nap, and later decided to kill ponies who whanted him to go somewhere where we not tread anypony.

He wasn't jerk, just like Dan from that Hub show is not jerk to :P

That really doesn't help if your not looking for fanon to supplement canon.

We'll probably never really find out how Dragon society (if they indeed have one)works within the show itself, and I doubt we'll see many other dragons who are not named Spike later on in the series so I choose to ignore it.

Also I never really cared for Dragonshy. Don't know why, i just don't.

To be fair, everypony pretty much had no idea how the dragon would react/thought it wouldn't listen. Which is why they all (except TS) took stupid approaches.

@Death You have no way of knowing that he knew that his naps were dangerous.

The smoke wasn't deadly, and could be managed if he didn't move

You also don't know that he was trying to kill them. I thought he was just trying to shoo them away

AND he'd just been woken up as well.
