I see Griffons as the dwarfs of the setting, living in big avararies carved into the mountain tops.

Little to no magic, but very good at crafting.

We'll meet a relative of Gilda, who's very nice and friendly, and Gilda resents them because they did better in life.

Like my take on the clockpunk oc was bitter after the tecnicial school (that teaches Unicorn mechanics how to enchant machines) refused her entry...because she has no magic. Depsite her brilliant inventions.

I think it should be brought up in an episode. Maybe one where AB complains about the fact that she's an EP, only for AJ to demonstrate all of the awesome things that earth ponies can do. It'd be a great way to establish the exact pros and cons of each race
