oh gods...oh...oh Celestia, I just had the most hilarious image thiking about that. Luna trying the sing in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE

The only fanfiction/fannon think that I've found to be influencing how I see the Cannon ponies is some of the Derpy/Ditzy stuff, mostly anything about her and Dinky, cause it's just so, damn adorably heartwarming.

I like taking fanon interpretation of characters and seeing if it'll hold water. The one that is mostly common but completely false is "Psycho Pinkie" as she becomes reclusive if her cutie mark is having it's failure.

well as to psycho pinkie, I dont see it being all that unlikely, sure she turned reclusive, at first, but this just after an hour or two, and she was already hearing voices talking bad about her friends, it's not all that imposable that if she hadn't snapped out of it, those voices might have gotten a bit more, insistent.

And thanks to that I can't feel sorry for DT in any other fic. At least I can stand her in actual canon.

Just out of curiosity, who do you guys think would win if civil war broke out? The earth ponies are very strong, and probably the most numerous, but they don't have much else. I can imagine the pegasi using guerilla tactics because, while fast, they don't seem that durable. All unicorns aren't magician scholars like Twilight, so their army would be more telekinetically inclined, I think. Overall, I'd say it's a pretty even match.

There's SOME FANFIC that has Derpy bringing back dinosaurs instead of birds that I read a while ago, but I can't remember the title...it did have a pretty identifying image, though. The mane six in winter clothes.

@Civil war. I would think that the unicorns would have won. First of all they are the most advanced in science and research. Thus I would assume that they have giant robots or the ability to summon beasts. Second of all, unicorns are basically {{[[Gundam]] Newtypes}}. However it would be a very close victory. However Pinkie Pies reality warping powers might manifest to a quasi spiral energy. Thus allowing the Earth Ponies a clear advantage.
