The funny thing about Cupcakes is that it was made as a shock fic, yet it is so (in)famous at this point it has lost over 90 percent of its shock value.

Cupcakes only inspires moderate annoyance in me now. Its the Cupcakes Expanded Universe that really earns my ire and hatred.

I liked Cupcakes's guest appearance in one of the Legion of Gloom sequels.

Oh god, not Sweet Apple Massacre again... I meantioned it to a freind after I saw that page, and he read it to me .(Thanks alot friend...)I think its actually a bit worse that the page makes it sound... *shudder*.

I'd also prefer to stop talking about it.

So... season two definitely seems focused on setting fanon ablaze. "Mare Do Well" seems like it might take Peeler our pre-emptively; "Sweet And Elite" will take out swaths of fanon about Rarity; and "Secrets of My Excess" seems almost tailor-made to call It Takes A Village to mind.

And then we have "Hearth's-Warming Eve", which, as I said before, will kill all the Celestial Sisters fanon that "Luna, Eclipsed" missed. =)

Speaking of the masked mare, my guess is that she might be an all-new character, or someone wearing a disguise and covering their cutie mark to avoid identification.

It's because my big WIP fanfic features the Boeriant Express, the Manhattan to Canterlot express.

And...I like trains.

Edit: I have emergency plans incase our fanon is burned. It'll be lightly sinced at best.

Emergency plans:

If Pip gets a dad, Peeler becomes an uncle/older brother/cousin who moves to town at a later date to join up with the new police force.

If Ponyville gets a police force, Peeler can be tweaked to fit in with them (still a Bobbie in spirit though).

If my fanon gets roasted I'm adding garnishing and changing the accompanying side-dishes, then I'll work on my original recipe in a different kitchen.

Meh, fanon is like the Doctor. No matter how often it gets shot, a new one comes along shortly afterwards.

I don't think season 2 is intentionally dedicated to burning fanon. It's just a side effect of having new episodes after such a long break.
