I dislike Gilda more than Blueblood.

Worse thing what that prince had done was using Rarity as shield against cake (and it wasn't used as weapon like pies in Appleloosa battle), and Gilda tried to seriously hurt Pinkie , and what she done to Flutershy and Granny Smith was mean to.

tbh, I don't even think DT&SS are beyond redemption. To me they seem like proper friends, or at least Silver Spoon does. (which is more than I could say for the CMC before "Cutie Pox")

Ponies with the capacity to forge honest friendships can't be ALL bad, right?

Once they grow out of their bitch phase, it's entirely possible that they mellow out. I've known guys who were douchebags in elementary school, but were pretty cool when they got older.

I think Trixie coud reach a nice balance between ally and antagonist (same with Gilda). With most of them, I don't wanna see them become GOOD per se, rather, I wanna see if there's anything more to them than JUST their bad qualities (more sympathetic and human).

For example, even if she didn't accept RD's friends, wouldn't you agree that Gilda would still jump in to protect Dash if she was being mugged?

I like Trixie, because she is cool and fun to watch unlike rest of jerkplot antagonists. She is not even that big jerk

My favourite jerks are the heroic kind. The ones who through the whole story are, well jerks, but at the end when the chips are down and the villains are about to win they'll try to help.

I don't know why but I think Gilda would help anypony being mugged. She's a jerk but I don't think she'd just let somepony get mugged.

She's just trying to be entertaining. Not like Rarity that thief.

^^^It's pretty obvious, yeah... though I think calling it bestiality is a bit insulting to Dash.

^I'm actually not sure how she'd react; she certainly wouldn't do it to be good or because it was the morally right thing to do, but she might do it.

Doesn't stop it from being a humanizing trait for her. RD is Gilda's Morality Pet. I wouldn't be surprised if that became a Chain at some point

@Badwolfwho That's EXACTLY the kind of jerk I think Gilda should become. I like to think she would've attacked Discord had he come to her home. What type of Anti-Hero would she be?

^^I agree with this assessment. Actually, I could see a full-on gryphon assault on Discord - again, to no effect. In a darker setting, I could easily see Discord mindblasting anyone attacking him to fall on their allies - at least until he got bored and decided to do worse things to them.

^I really don't think she'd fall to Type V that easily. She's a jerk, not a sociopath.
