Only way to explain the rainboom, also you could make the argument that both immunities are two sides of the same coin. Pulling high G turns could qualify as bludgeoning damage across the entirety (insides included) of your body, right?

Hm... you make a good point. Not to 'immovable object' level, I would say, though - we've seen Dash get smacked out of the air a few times, as well. =)

@Death, a few pages back(Sorry to bring this up so late):

Believe it or not, my intention wasn't to redeem Blueblood, because redemption implies that he's done something wrong(also because a lot of standard redemption fics try to play the unsavoury aspects in a sympathetic light, which I vowed I would never do). At the end of the day he never behaved in any way that wasn't expected of his postion, and he wasn't even the most smug of the partygoers. He was selfish, but not bad. (sound familiar, miss Rarity?)

My intention was to make the people who hate him think about the hate, but more importantly to make him grow. Much different from redemption. His past is unimportant beyond giving him a reason to grow.

If I can ever be bothered (which I wish I can be at some point) I'm thinking of writing a Trixie fic, and in no way would it white wash her. (well okay I would HAVE to portray her egotism more sympathetically, but that's the most interesting part of her character) and she'd end up exactly as she was at the beginning of Boast Busters

Sorry Red, I hadn't meant to imply you were trying to whitewash - I've read your fic, and you're doing an admirable job of it. I just meant that one of the most common tactics is to give them a freudian excuse for their behaviour to generate sympathy, and I think it's a cheap tactic.

I didn't get that feel at all, man. =) Giving disliked characters an excuse for what they've done is a cop-out, nothing more, and it only makes people more likely to scream Draco in Leather Pants - and, on some levels, it is Draco in Leather Pants. Saying 'oh, she's not really a bitch because her parents are dead' is facetious; regardless of the cause, the actions are the same. Trying to downplay a character's faults can only weaken them, both as a character and as a person.

Yeah, planning to write one for Trixie. Except, it isn't REALLY a redemption fic because she doesn't get better by the end of it. The idea is to humanize her more than anything (which would involve giving a somewhat human motivation for her egotism)

It's that one where she obtains a fan who follows her around from town to town. A fan who knows that she's a fake, and enjoys her anyway.
