All this talk about whether Zecora's rhyming is intentional or not reminds me of this Tumblr post for some reason.

[up][up] Oh, that was the tumblr with the fanon theory about why she speaks in rhyme.

I was watching the Sonic Rainbomb clip, and I'm not entirely sure what exactly happens. I mean, how can she break the sound barrier without smashing into the ground?

Re: Granny's hip and Zecora. Maybe Zecora's bone/tooth-repair potion only works if taken soon after the injury — she did tell Apple Bloom that they had to fix her chipped tooth quickly. If Granny's hip was broken long ago, it might be too late for Zecora to help.

[up][up] My theory is,

Dash stops at the point of impact (in this case, the barn roof), and all the energy is transferred into the object, causing an explosion.

While we are talking about Zecora, what is that icon on her flack? Is that the zebra equivalent of a cutie mark, a tattoo put on her, or is it a natural part of her coat (as in, something she was born with)?

[up][up] So she kicks the roof, and all her kinetic energy makes the barn collapse?

[up] Seems to be a cutie mark, however vague it is. I mean, what does a swirly sun even mean?

[up][up][up][up] That, or Granny Smith not completely trusting Zecora are probably the most likely justifications we'll get

no known cure
During which I immediately thought, "so there's probably an unknown cure, and Zecora probably has it".
But apart, all we are is just a pile of mush and some crumbly dry mess...

It's probably a cutie mark. Maybe it symbolizes growing plants.

I imagine that it would leave her a little dazed afterwards too.

If it is her cutie mark, it looks like the continue icon from the Lion King game for the SNES (ie. the circle of life).

I wonder why Celestia never found a cure for cutie pox. Was the entire plague so small (scale and/or threat wise) that it went right over her head? Or was it merely over before she had a chance to step in and help?

As far as I can tell, it's symbolic of Africa or something.

The last time I saw a sun drawn like that was in The Lion King.

@Ginger: Are you implying that Granny Smith is a Racist Grandma?

[up][up]I'm guessing that it was just the result of some ponies inadvertently eating that heart's desire plant, and that the Cutie Pox dies off when the plant gets out of the pony's system.

[up][up][up]Twilight refers to it as an obscure disease, so it could have been small scale. Also, despite what some people on this thread have claimed, I think it went away on its own rather than leading to death by exhaustion, so it was more an annoyance than a serious threat.

[up][up] If that was the case then I really can't see how NO ONE connected the heart's desire to the cutie pox outbreak.

At least they should've when it came time to be documented by scholors

And yes, a very SLIGHT bit of racism

[up]What I mean is that some of it got accidentally mixed into the food supply; like somepony wasn't careful when they were harvesting wheat or something, so when it got made it into bread it gave Cutie Pox to anypony who ate it. They may not have even been aware that they ate it.

Didn't Apple Bloom only get Cutie Pox from her Heart's Desire potion because earning her Cutie Mark was what she desired?

[up]No idea. We really have no clue how the Cutie Pox work.

Also I finally finished my review. Probably harped a bit much on the general way that the writers used the CMC, but the episode itself was good.

^^^^Sounds rather like a suggested cause of the Salem witch trials, actually - wasn't there a certain type of mold that could very plausibly have gotten into their bread?
