So, did anyone else have this reaction during the scene where Apple Bloom showed off the first mark? All throughout that scene, I kept thinking "aaaand then she wakes up." You know, like where she's mind-blowingly amazing at the hoop thing, how the bullies are the only ones who simply can't get a handle on it, how the teacher drops everything to let her show off, etc. I just kept thinking "And then she wakes up, and we see how it really goes down". But it turns out that Cheerilee is just a really lax teacher.

I hear the part that's being heard as "Lyra", but I'm sure its not "Lyra"

Also, the Cutie Pox recap page has its own WMG? O.o

Yeah, that kind of bugged me that she postponed class to give Applebloom a chance to show off.

Yeah, that was the point that really made me go "OK, dream sequence... right?" And then Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara were the worst at the hoops: "OK, dream sequence for sure..."

DT and SS weren't the WORST at hoops I'd say (they're better than I'd be at any rate)

Rather, they were the only ones who were actively TRYING to show up AB, leading them to fail since they were trying so hard.

I think Silver Spoon is more a reference to her being born into a well-off family. You know, "Born with a silver spoon in [her] mouth".

I actually remarked on both of their cutie marks after they mocked that her cutie mark was just a ring.

Her special talent is being spoiled.

Late to the discussion, but did anyone else feel "The Cutie Pox" was the weakest episode of the season so far? It had a good beginning and a fun end, but the second act — starting from the school to the bedroom — dragged on a bit too long. I suspect it was an issue due to when the commercial breaks were scheduled, but IMO story-wise the second act should've been trimmed down and the third act lengthened a bit. Maybe if the second commercial cut right after Twilight said there was no cure... (*dum-dum-DUM!*)

And to be fair, maybe Diamond Tiara's talent is jewelry modeling, while Silver Spoon's talent is silversmithing.

Made another Apple Pie. Every time I eat some my opinion of Applejack goes up. She's still my least favourite though.

Diamond Tiara and Applebloom will both become Rarity's apprentice.

This will cause Silver Spoon to feel left out and she'll hang out with Twist.

It had good times too. For inatance it seems that they know that AJ. Is the weakest( in character development) and are developing her more.It probably feels weak due to the lack of mane cast appearances.

@ rjung S2 is strong so far but this ep wasn't weakest , it was sisterhoof social. Maybe watch it on YT, if comertial ruined this ep for you.

I don't understand why people complain about Cheerilee action in this ep. She made lesson outside , what everypony liked exept libbies (and whoof cares about them?).

Silver spoon because "fed with a silver spoon". Diamond Tiara is especially pointless and derisive in a world where there has been only one monarch for over 2000 year. It's like Central Africa being born with a Nuclear Weapon cutie mark or somethingMy mind has just melded Hetalia and MLP without even noticing. I am now officially insane.

meh, I'd tie the last two episodes so far, both had there strength's and weaknesses, and both are weaker then the first 4. but I do agree the time between her first cutie mark and finding out it was a disease should have been shorter, and the time spent trying to cure the disease longer.
