One thing that bugged me about the episode. I really hope that Big Mac saying only Eyup and Nope doesn't become permanent. It's nice to have him say something once in a while like Applebuck Season.

I figured that it wouldn't have worked for her because she nothing to really confess or tell the truth about.

It's a bit hard to confess to something that you didn't really do as opposed to apple bloom who confessed to basically stealing Zecora's ingredients and using it to make fake cutie marks for herself.

To be fair to Applejack, it was fairly obvious that the only way it was going to work was for Apple Bloom to admit that the Cutie Mark was bogus. If all it took was some random pony to tell the truth, Zecora could have just said "I'm a zebra!" and that would have fixed the problem. In this context "tell the truth" doesn't mean "state something that is true". It's more along the lines of telling someone to tell the truth because they haven't been doing so; Apple Bloom was lying about the Cutie Mark.

And I also have an explanation for Rarity's behavior here, which basically boils down to "she's willing to give", she just doesn't know what to give.

Let's see... other things to weigh in on... I definitely heard 'Lyra' in the crowd scene, and it's good to see that the Flower sisters haven't forgotten their jobs as Ponyville's Unneccessary Panic Alarms.

Maybe she was trying to get Apple Bloom to fess up, but Pinkie Pie interrupted.

I'm assuming you noticed a certain set of new Background Ponies in the bowling alley?

That's unfortunate. But really, I'm just impressed by the fact that the animators did that. If there was ever irrefutable proof that they add stuff in just for the Periphery Demographic...

I wouldn't have ever gotten it. But they do seem to be slipping in more movie references lately. I only got the Gone with the Wind one though.

I doubt they could ever get away with that. If I were in that position, I'd probably have Lyra and Bon Bon together in the background more often. Like have a series of FunnyBackgroundEvents that seem innocuous on their own, but when you consider all of them, it's obvious that some serious Les Yay is going on.

I never thought I'd see the day when Rainbow Dash only appears sleeping for an episode! AN EPISODE.

^^This late into the season, I'd say that that's not likely to happen... but given that we got Ditzy in... what was "Feeling Pinkie Keen", episode 18? It could still happen. And I'm taking 'Lyra' as canon now...

I said before they're going to overhaul the main cast let's just hope Ditzy Do is among them

Watched "Winter Wrap Up" for the first time a few hours ago. It was a pretty good episode, lot of good laughs in it. I do think that Applejack was right in calling Twilight out after her stint with plowing snow. I was thinking to myself before it got out of hand, "When this all goes wrong they'll probably have just finished" up and, true to my thoughts, they had just finished when Twilight caused the avalanche.

Eh, I kinda like keeping her where she is now. I don't really know how they'd incorporate her, as she's largely a joke character.

I don't want them to cater to us too much; I liked the show as it was in the first season, and I don't think they should switch up the formula for the sake of the Periphery Demographic. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
