You know how some people will sometimes try to make themselves fall in love or have a relationship with someone of the opposite sex in an attempt to force themselves out of being gay?
You begin to suspect that your bowl is a portal to the Meat Dimension.

Yes but I don't see how that applies to Spike's situation.

He could try to force himself to date another dragon to convince himself he's not a pony-fetishist?

WARNING: INCOMING WEIRD HEADCANON.

wild mass guessRarity is, maybe, just the slightest bit, part-dragon. like, .00021%, hardly enough to notice, but enough for another dragon to pick up on. there has to be something about her that sets her apart from every other pony and makes her attractive to a dragon.wild mass guess

I always figured Spike's attraction to Rarity boiled down to him being raised in a unicorn city and Rarity being a genuinely pretty unicorn.

Too wild a guess?

anyway guys, i just finished the Tinkerbell movie. and you know what?

... it actually wasn't horrible. in fact, it was downright decent. nothing groundbreaking or "OH MY GOODNESS WOW" about it, but it was a good movie. i'd give it an 8.75 our of 10.

Does that make it better than the original Peter Pan?

... i don't know. i haven't seen the original one in a while, so i don't remember enough to rate it fairly.

@Story: Even in a situation where beign gay wouldn't be harmful, people will still subconsciously adhere to the norm. If being attracted to ponies is common, and therefore normal, Spike would understand that he ought to be. Similarly, even though I had no reason to be afraid of being gay, I still convinced myself initially that my attraction to men 'didn't count', somehow.

I get the feeling interspecies may not be that huge a deal in Equestria unless you're in the stodgier bits of Canterlot. Out of the ordinary, but not unheard of or frowned on.

If you have that many sentient species around for that long, things are gonna happen, and Celestia doesn't seem the type to stop them.

I hope we see some hybrid species, like ponies with recessive dragonness. tongue

I just don't see how it would work out. But a Hipogriff might be funny.

I have a random question, one that is probably answered in this thread several times.

Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty, Honesty, Laughter, yeah, but what kind of virtue exactly Magic supposed to represent? Making impossible happen?

Personally, I think it's easier if you just ignore magic and pretend the last element was meant ot be Friendship instead. It makes a lot more sense that way.

No, magic is a virtue. Why do you think unicorns are the superior race?

That's because magic trumps wings and hats.
And, since today is apparently National Jump To Conclusions Day...

Are hats a quality of Earth Ponies know?

I guess Rarity and Fluttershy's ability to wear hats confirms they have earth pony heritage?

Games ponies play, you take it or you leave it.

Things that they say just don't make it right.
