From when Cheerilee called off school I thought it was either a dream or mind control.

"Mah sister's speaking fancy!"

As soon as I saw Applebloom's Fleur-de-lis mark the first thing I thought was: "Wait, is she going start speaking Fren- she's speaking French. .... I love this show!"

Pretty sure this is also the first time Cheerilee's been mentioned by name on-screen. Up until now it was a case of All There in the Manual.

It was mentioned in Twilight's episode. What was it called again? Edit: Lesson Zero

Unless of course it is a tradition to allow foals who have earned their cutie marks to teach their peers about their special talent.

I had a pretty similar reaction, Will. I thought, "What, the new special talent is being french - oh holy god it is. Awesome."

I still like the 'become the Tasmanian Devil' cutie mark the best.

Accordion Cutie Mark was my favourite. I love accordions.

I liked the Chimbley Sweep cutie mark, myself.

Did anyone notice how almost none of the other fillies and colts had cutie marks when Applebloom was showing off? Were they in a younger grade, or something? Because Applebloom did say she was the last in he class without one.

Anyone notice the very "familiar" looking ponies in the bowling center?

Also, this was a very cute And I Must Scream episode.

I doubt it's that uncommon for the various grades to mingle during recess.

And I had pretty much the same reaction to the fleur de lis. "What is she going to be French now? Holy crap she is."

The scene where AJ finds her sister tap dancing at night was actually really upsetting. (for me at least)

I hate it when people are being controlled against their will and their begging for someone to help them

reminded me of Pinnochio and the Emporer of the Night.

Cheerilee in "Lesson Zero." Spike said Twilight had borowed a blackborad from Cheerilee. That implies the teacher pony is Cheerilee but his is the first time she's been called Cheerilee when she was on camera.

Brainstorm! A couple pages back somepony hypothosized Derpy was attending class after being turned into a filly by a Fountain of Youth scenario. Well, remember back in "Sisterhooves Social" when we saw Dinky and Sparkler do the race together? It's not because they're sisters, it's because Derpy and Sparkler had switched bodies. This would mean: 1. Dinky is actually Derpy's sister and B. Derpy is a regular weirdness magnet. She's like the Pony version of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, always having crazy adventures in the background.

It wasn't so much the truth that caused the flower to bloom. It was admitting to something you've done wrong. Zecora didn't say that.

If any truth will do, why couldn't Applejack say something like: "I deeply love my sister with all my heart"?

Zecora is back, and this time for good reason,
I'm glad to see her recurring in the second season
She appeared on Nightmare Night and spun the foals a tale,
To frighten them all, to make them turn pale,
It backfired somewhat; it scared everyone
When Princess Luna arrived, and made them all run
Now she has returned to Ponyville, in search of a flower
But everyone hid in their homes, and there they did cower.
For Applebloom has a sickness which they thought was contagious,
Of course this belief was untrue and outrageous
She kept learning new skills, the abilities piled
She couldn't stop using them all, that poor pony child
But the fault it was hers, the cause it was silly,
A flower she stole, that misguided filly
She wanted her mark, the flower granted her hope
But did it stop there? Not at all, nope
More and more marks came, they appeared one by one,
The first one made her happy, but now this was no fun
Zecora came to her rescue, but this came with a cost
She has to admit to her stealing the flower that was lost...

Seriously though, Pinkie Pie could be called Pinkie Pig.

Maybe they'll have an episode about her overeating or having an eating problem or something.

Cute episode.

Oh and we're supposed to get a Spike episode in the future, but I don't like the synopsis.

Also, I'm sure that cutie pox IS contagious. Just not VERY contagious.

It became a plague with an unidentified cause after all. If everypony ate the same mixture of plants before deveoping the disease, then I can't believe that a connection was never made between the two

You can't magically make Cutie Marks appear. She wanted a cutie mark, so the plant interpreted it as the disease.

They weren't Cutie Marks. They were blotches on a pony's fur that affected their mind.

I honestly thought the Hearts Desire's effects were a Red Herring.
